I'm trying this with my SC5000s & along side a Pioneer FLX6 as the mixer & effects/soundcard. That's the good thing with vdj, multiple different devices can be used together. After trying it (VDJ) on a pair of MDJ 900s, & they worked & hidded up great. It's got a more accurate BPM readout to Engine, which is something that they should update on Engine as well, especially if it has 0.001% pitch increments & uses beat gridding for a more accurate readout.

There was no reason to speed this up though. There is a speed adj feature built into yourube. I think its available on every video nowadays.

How do you hook up a mixer to this configuration! The rcas dont output sound in computer mode just stand alone mode. So you cant use Virtual dj to play. The output is only on the computer built in speaker. Any Ideas? Cause this seems to be a Massive mistake on Denon's part and i am about return the players i just got! Your input would be appreciated! Thanks!

I have my set up using the Denon 1800 mixer and the SC 6000M , I can't hear anything because each player says MUTE before the song title. Your video here the volume is low and you're going fast.

Hi Steve! I bought VDJ today. Not the monthy one, the infinity version thanks to your videos. So I have both Serato and VDJ. - One question, -How do I get the Serato skins to VDJ. I have a Macbook and I couldnt find any tutorials for. Mac on this topic.

I'm using the same version that you are using in this video, from March 2021, when I hold the VIEW, nothing happens, it doesn't enter this options menu. I want to enable the waveform of the music of another LAYER, so I know the position of the music, since I'm using it with 1 deck only, but I can't find this option on the PC since I can't enter these options through the deck!

Your in depth vids are good but I agree with some of the other comments....no one really is going to move from the industry standard set ups ie pioneer to denon and virtual dj... .

I might be. I know lots of people who did. Industry standard means nothing when the industry isn't going due to covid. Pioneer can't keep hiding behind the industry-standard excuse for much longer. They said the 3000s are future-proof and expandable with firmware updates. I suggest they start catching up.

@@TheDJLab I love these decks so much but hesitate to buy them. the thing with industry standard is that it's not just a marketing line, it's the reality across thousands of clubs around the world. Especially with covid, none of them will be buying gear coming off the back of it, the pioneers will remain in those clubs for a long time yet.

@@djshortefromphilly buy a Hercules for 200 bux and use virtual dj with your laptop. why buy a nice player that doesn't need a laptop and then use a laptop with it with virtual dj of all things?

@@erikcharlat9844 various reasons...one being the fact that it makes them that much more versatile and, for features that came out after the players release so you can keep up with where technology is going. Remember, these players are fighting for the number one position so, instead of being one dimensional, they need to be able to be used in all ways depending on the individual dj.

This is what holds us back in technology. Companies are afraid to go outside the box of standards. Denon is providing choices and options and ignoring the standards where as though Pioneer is locked in standards. Serato and Virtual DJ are capitalizing on the new technology. How did Steve Jobs become so successful? He got out the box.
