pretty good information presented and I like that you made the comparison between the 5000vs6000. Maybe it's just me but I kept getting triggered everytime he called the denon players "CDJ"s would have preferred to just hear players instead. no biggy though I know what you meant.
@MusicGearMondays2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I started on CDJs when they actually used CDs so it's an easy thing for me to do, lol Pioneer is still listing the 3000s as the CDJ3000s lol

Yes!!! I got a pair earlier in the year and have them running into an old DJM-800 via SPDIF. My next move is to get an X1850 and the integration is complete
@MusicGearMondays3 жыл бұрын
The X1850 looks pretty solid got to let us know how it goes. These were supposed to hold me over until the backorder of the CDJ3000's was up but I really started and have been enjoying them.
@michaelray34862 жыл бұрын
So… with supply everywhere dwindling it is hard to touch gear. Do these hold mixes like pioneers or is it a constant battle? That is my only concern. Found a stellar deal on the SC5000s and am in debate of upgrading to either that or the Pioneer XDJ-XZ. Just hard to justify CDJ-3000 price point especially if the Denins are tight.
@MusicGearMondays2 жыл бұрын
If your running a club or venue or plan on renting them out cdj3000s all the way if it’s for personal use for your own personal events and things the SC5000s are amazing. If you want to play sets with friends who all use Pioneer players or rekordbox then the xz or RX might be a better option. It really comes down to how you plan to use and grow into the setup and what your already using. Pioneer has become the industry standard so if your planing on playing any music festivals and big clubs it’s good to own the gear at home that you can use and practice on. Personally I loved my SC’s but traveling and playing sets in clubs it was easier to use rekordbox and CDJs once I owned my own pair. Hope that helps.

Is there a way to get both waves of each deck on one deck ? Like on a prime 4 and go.
@MusicGearMondays2 жыл бұрын
Haven’t seen any firmware updates to allow both waveforms show in the single screen yet only the dual layer of each player toggle. Most of the new players will have a dual layer on single display hopefully they’ll figure out a way to bring it to the SC series.

If you have one player and an Lc6000 both layers are visible, not with 2 players though

Considering trading in my 900NXS for these. I would have a good chunk of change if I made the switch.

They are def light years ahead of Pioneer but if you are in the clubs every weekend or playing with a lot of people on CDJ's it's a more difficult transfer. They have a mode that works with both Serato and Rekord box now with the new prime update so it's worth checking out. Also, the 6000's and 5000's are pretty much the same just 6000's have that Harddrive bay. Let us know how your journey goes and what you end up getting.

Hi any chance you can let me know what you can do with sc 5000 and s11 in stand alone, or Serato rekordbox please I’ve got a s11 thinking about making a smaller setup with it
@MusicGearMondays3 жыл бұрын
You can use rekord box or Serato with the 5000s similar to CDJs and HID mode your tracks and waveforms are viewable from the displays. They do have to be in computer mode which would make them controllers. I use this setup for traveling in car I’m somewhere where my laptop is in direct sun or dusty space outdoors and the CDJs come in clutch. It’s a great setup and cost effective.

how send clock out from denon sc5000 to sync a drum machine?
@MusicGearMondays3 жыл бұрын
If you have ableton open make sure midi clock and sync are set and turned on. I’ll try and make another quick video for that feature.

Nice - laptops in the heat or so unreliable. Curious how does the music go from the SC to your S11? Is it RCA analog only? Or is there a way to get it to play digital - an ethernet port, etc. -kinda how the CDJs work with the 900nsx2).
@MusicGearMondays3 жыл бұрын
It's RCA to the S11 Pioneer has the Digital outs for cues it's a pretty neat feature but the Denon's have a preview feature by pressing the artwork thats pretty cool to I wish I would have highlighted that in the video. They definitely beat the heat though! :)

nice, albeit quite chaotic review. also music sometimes too loud. and too much time 'wasted' on th basic features. Otherwise, yeah, the 5000s are fantastic, if you dont need that bigger screen or sata-drive, it has a killer value for money and still gets fresh updates

SC5000 VS cdj2000 ?
@MusicGearMondays3 жыл бұрын
The SCs have allot more tech in them than the 2000s and are still cheaper at msrp. The pioneers built a name for themselves and have more history but the denon are definitely worth ever penny.

The videos & images don't give a true feel, these SC5000s are massive in size. & That screen is quite large. The SC6000s must be absolutely humongous with that screen! The 5000s being virtually the same, running the exact same software, will still be fine for as long as the 6000s. Also if you have turntables & other kit, you will struggle to fit them sc6000s, trying to do so with the 5000s is just as bad.
@MusicGearMondays2 жыл бұрын
The SC5000 and 6000 are about on par with the pioneer 2000s. The 3000s are actually taller and heavier. I've owned all three! I really liked the Denon's
