Great video. I have the Denon Prime Go, Prime 2 and a pair of SC5000M's . I did have the AWESOME PRIME 4, had some technical issues with that unit, returned it. I have another set of the SC5000M's. I will say this coming from the Pioneer CDJ industry standard mentallity. That the Denon SC series are a very solid purchase, so many different things you can do with these units first off the WIFI streaming a lifesaver for tunes you may not have in the "crates", next the fact yoy can utitilize a portable thumb drive or hard drive full of music, next the network connection where you can daisy chain the units and have communication among the units. The screen, it is touchscreen with the needle drag to get to certain spots in the track. Those buttons on the front, my God you can have your cue points, loop points in the track. And the fact you trigger you loops to give them that drum effect. And the IEC power, no worries in trying to replace the cord and wait 2 to 3 weeks, Walmart, Amazon, heck even Home Depot and Lowes have IEC power cords. Whether you get the SC5000M SC5000 OR THE SC6000M SC6000 you cannot go wrong, plus Denon keeps their ear close to the owners of their products. They do not snub you because you aren't the top Club DJ. JUST TAKE CARE OF THESE UNITS AND JUST CREATE MEMORABLE MIXES AND MOMENTS. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC.

Even recordbox analysing gets it wrong every now and then. It’s normal for that to happen. Thanks for taking the time to do this review as I’m considering to get a pair of sc6000. Can see you’ve put your gear through the paces and everything is working perfectly still. Denon is becoming a life saver when it comes to cost savings compared with pioneer and you actually get way more bank for your buck comparing the cdj3000 and Sc6000. There’s only one hick up I have with the denon and maybe I’m just being really petty and I could most probably get used to it, that is the green lighting theme denon uses on their equipment.

I'm okay with the SC6000 players, they mostly updated the look of them, but I don't mind the look of the SC5000. @hvxcolors3964 жыл бұрын
Do you see a big advantage of having this setup compared to a prime 4? Your setup looks impressive. I'm considering the sc6000M but it reminds me of lugging around a pair of 1200s. I needed a van to transport my kit back then. Also I would miss seeing waveforms running in parallel, which makes beatmatching so easy. There must be a reason to have separate players.
@cduemig13 жыл бұрын
A year old but why not. I don’t see the advantage over the prime 4. The platters are a bit looser but work well. The effects are great on the 4. The only advantage I can think of is the X1800 has filter and sweep fx where the Prime 4 has a combo. The only reason I bought the SC5000’s I do got the M’s.
@tribeoflife10462 жыл бұрын
Also you may find the difference being each player has more power individually rather than one unit with power spread across 1mixer and 2 decks in one unit
@DMulabiTalejan4 жыл бұрын
Very good point on BPMs. Surely, any DJ worth the name DJ should be able to manually sync a few songs that are misread. Also, you can just listen to a song and guess its BPM range. But perhaps this is only obvious to some of us who learn our craft on twin CD players where you had to have an idea of BPM ranges of pretty much your whole library in the head. There are songs from the 1980's which have irregular BPM. Some people who have hard time with these.
@P4boot4 жыл бұрын
Good point, but for costing that much, it shouldn't be missing the correct bpm for songs recorded on a grid. And it should have elastic beat grid editing option, not just shifting the grid horizontally.

20:59 $10/month is kinda pricey? I guess that depends on how you look at it.Example, I could tell you about the "olden days" when us old school DJ's had to buy vinyl at the local record shop. Domestic 12" singles were usually around $5.99 each, and 12" UK imports started at $9.99 and went up from there. lol Anyway, if you're running a business (and you're actually paying tax on the income you make from doing gigs), you can write off some (or all) of the cost for that subscription service as a business expense.
