having played for years with some people who always rolled high, I had made my version (years ago) of a dice tower to roll dice into and suddenly his rolling of the d20 became more random. It was the way he held the die and then rolled it was getting him his high roll. Watching Taliesin roll, he looks at the die in his hand, then most of the time he just sort of drops the die. I never see him really 'roll' the die. Just my opinion.

Man, I just have to say, every time I re-watch these episodes and I see Matt jump in and out of NPCs, changing their genders, voices, and personalities at the drop of a hat, I'm just so damn impressed. His brain must just be so full of voices trying to work their way out. This game is such a glorious way for actors to really hone their craft. And I absolutely LOVE watching it live. It's kind of a humbling experience, to watch such talent unfold right before your eyes, right off the cuff. It's amazing.

I've rewatched the episodes (especially the early ones upwards of 3-5 times~ the newest ones probably 1-2 but give me some time lol) and it's those little things like that that make it worth it every time. You notice such small things that make the story as a whole even better. And not even just the story but the experience as a whole. Hearing a jokes and seeing them be friends and then the community reaction. Despite the inevitable dark corners of the internet that turn their ugly heads from time to time it is overwhelmingly awesome and I love y'all as some real distant family I can't wait to meet lol

Very late to this, but another example of the Rule of Cool is when Pike rolls and 1 and a 20 on her advantage roll and is so happy about it - then Matt realises it shouldn't have been advantage because her melee disadvantage cancels it out, and you can see the cogs immediately go in his head 'no, they're so happy, and I didn't say it before, I'm not ruining the moment' so he quickly explains how the surrounding of the entity restores the advantage. Small detail, but masterful.

​@@ArthurTorriasYes, you're right. For anyone wondering, that's not how Faerie Fire works. Any creature within its area of effect when the spell is cast is affected for the duration of the spell. Moving out of the area where it was cast does not remove the effect and moving into that area after it's cast does not have any effect. It only matters if you were in the area at the time it's cast.

Casting 'Minor Illusion,' I'm changing my form into the screaming, writhing, slowly melting visage of Lord Bryerwood, and I'm just going to scream unholy high-hell in pain." Everyone: *gasping, covering mouths, sharing looks of shock* Matt, calmly checking book: Mmkay. Also, props to Tal on knowing language and spells. They clarify that this spell can only change his face, which Tal was okay with because the smoke would cover the places not effected by the spell. The word "visage" means "a person's face, with reference to the form or proportions of the features" so he knew exactly how this spell would work and how he could work with it and just 🙌👏👏👏👏🙌🙌👏👏 yes sir thank you. Scanlan is my favorite character, but Tal is my favorite player for reasons like this. It's a small thing but I'm a simple person, so color me impressed.

Tal and Liam are my favorite for their commitment and immersion in their characters. You can tell Tal loves his character and his arc, he enjoys watching it unfold as much as anyone, and Liam plays Vax flawlessly, his quick decisions, commitment to them, even when they're clearly insane, and his love for his sister. It's hard to pick a favorite but I have a lot of respect for how those two play their characters.

48:00 My lord, this is such a well weaved conflict. On one hand, Percy wants to fight the influence of this dark entity inside of him and stop his vengeful rampage. But he wants to save his home and for that he needs to torture Delilah and get information, thus giving in to the influence of his demon. Not to mention the parallel between Delilah and Percy - doing monstrous things for those they love. Huge kudos to both Taliesin and Matt for crafting such a compelling story!

I don’t dislike him, I do love them all very much. But Percy is my least favourite character (after Orion left) Due to the way Taliesin plays him. The rest of the group I’m invested and believe and picture their characters, whereas when Percy is up, I just see Taliesin. Which isn’t too bad, I like him. But I just don’t enjoy his performances nearly as much as the others.

First time watching this chapter - That interaction between Taliesin and Mercer was amazing. This group as a whole has impressed me to no end, but Taliesins ability to monologue and perform speeches, seemingly out of thin air amazes me and with Matt, his quick retorts made up on the fly fit so so well. I loved Percy in the animated series, but this is a whole other level entirely.
