All is quiet empty streets All is quiet the city sleeps Close my eyes On my knees And time is passing me by Time is passing me by I can't move can't turn back Out of reach my heart is black My silent shout Won't set me free And time is passing me by Time is passing me by Time is passing me by

This is art, innocence, the coldness of memory, frailty, the loss in moments left to cold selfish nothing-ness. They grasp the medium, and take the art farther than any band I've ever heard.

this song destroys me. this song keeps me intact. this song makes me feel what i imagine most other songs throughout my lifetime will never equate to or be capable of. i am angry. i am grateful. i both reminisce about the past and am anxious for the future. i am.

Amazing song but can we take a second to give major props to the art department and set design. What a beautiful nightmare. I get instantly cold when I watch this video

I used to listen to this with my girl in bed after a night of intimacy. It perfectly framed our feeling of having to seperate and return to our respective realities eventually. Cigarette in hand, we'd stare into each others eyes and nakedness, speaking without really saying anything. I love that this music still moves me to that extent, even though it's been a long time since.
@Sting_of_the_avern3 жыл бұрын
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I was so excited when I first discovered it, and went to listen to all of Cult of Luna's discography...only to discover that almost none of their songs sound anything like this. Don't get me wrong, I love their music, but I want more of this.

There a quite a few post-metal bands who specialize in slower, atmospheric songs. Idk if you know of these or not, so I apologize if you already do. Isis, Neurosis, Jesu, The Mire, If These Trees Could Talk (instrumental band), Russian Circles (ditto), Giant Squid, Mouth of the Architect, Callisto, AMENRA, Intronaut, The Ocean, We Lost the Sea, etc.

@@yovaalvarado9773 I was actually in on the premiere because I'm chomping at the bit for this new album. It's nice to have an occasional slower, moodier track to break up the crushing heaviness. Feb 11 can't come soon enough.

To be honest i prefer it like that. Imagine every teen liking it, 'real' and 'rare' art should be for the lucky few and not the mainstream. Most people wouldn't know how to appreciate something as beautiful as this, sad truth. Cult Of Luna!

Yes because real art is made for therapeutic reasons, religion, or just the love of it, not money. And most bands are just guys that want to be rich and famous. Plus the fact that most of Cult of Luna's songs are 10 minutes + means less people will hear them out.
