Good day doc. What my professor told me is before you put the composite, to clean the tooth with isopropyl alcohol. It cleans off the whatever residual material from the IRM. Thank you always

Excuse me Dr, when you do metal-free restorations and cement with a dual cement, is there a problem with adhesion?

@@centerforard love your videos

Your video work is impeccable as usual. The video is on IRM mixing and the technique was flawless. My question though is that those teeth seemed mobile with very little perio support, what factored into the decision to keep those teeth rather than extract and are you going to splint them?
@centerforard3 жыл бұрын
I do not think the teeth were more than class 2 mobile. If they were class 2 mobile, I would adjust the occlusion and have the patient wear a Nightguard. Take your practice to the Top Tier. Is IRM used for a sedative filling ? & if So how should the consistency be ?
@centerforard Жыл бұрын
You want the consistency to be as firm as possible, allowing you to roll the mix between your fingers without it sticking to your gloves. You do not want the final mix to be sticky. if the cavity involves proximal , do we put a matrix and wedge for the IRM ?
@centerforard3 жыл бұрын
No. Since it is a crown prep., the inter proximal is open, so just contour the inter proximal of the IRM with a plastic instrument or some other flat instrument. Take your practice to the Top Tier. I heard my dentist put this on me for a temporary filling, because when they were trying to remove the cavity it kinda hurts, is it ok to leave for 3 months?

Sorry, I cannot diagnose or treatment plan without examining you.
