Your videos are very inspiring my man. I bought some cheap tools online and started working on the 10 or or 12 dings in my 2012 Silverado. I started with the most difficult deep door ding first which I'm not sure was my best plan but I've got it 90% removed because I can't get access to inside the panel because of a glued in place door brace. I'll have to do it all from the top and so far it's going well. I am 62 and have painted hundreds of cars and or repairs, but have never tried paintless. I seem to be doing well but I wish I had learned this 5 or 6 years ago when my vision was still perfect LOL Thank you so much for your motivation!

I have a couple of dents on my 2016 Pajero and I just found out about this PDR technique. At first I was a bit sceptical about it, but I just had to pull the trigger and call a PDR guy to my house since the dents is really buggin my eyes out lol. And once they were done, I was very very impressed by how its done, all the technique, the tools etc. And this last few days I've been watching a bunch of PDR videos, and the more I watch it, the more i think that PDR its not just about fixing dents, hammering steel, punching etc, but there's more of an art aspect into it. Keep up my man. Love watching your videos.

I worked in a mom and pop Shop. A long time ago. Mr Mac would lead in the big spots and then bondo bondo . I did some good bondo jobs but just what I dented up and had to fix. Maybe that’s why I like drywall work.

Awesome video and amazing work and takes a trained eye to do it right. I have really struggled to get any decent glue sticks where i live overseas and most seem to come off half way through pulling the dent and it will stick to vehicle or it will stick to the tooling

I write estimates for a living. Over 10 years experience. For a typical unibody truck, Ridgeline, Avalanche, etc, I'd expect this repair to be closer to $4k. However, that's if the Rivian part isn't an outrageous price, and considering a midwest rate vs ridiculously high CA rates, and it doesn't consider the cost of a rental during a conventional repair. Add rental and a ridiculous part markup (common w EV only brands), and I'd say between $4-6k is legit for a total of all collision repair related costs. I also have a degree in Entrepreneurship...IMO, I'd price this repair between $2-4k for a non-conventional, PDR + touch up paint repair in a midwest state. So IMO, it's more likely a gross $3k job for PDR, not $6k. Having said all that, this is definitely a better method of repair, no parts replaced means no parts on backorder to delay the repair, and PDR means saving a few weeks on rental costs. It's still a better repair doing it this way. But to run a business, I'd expect about $1800 net on this repair BEFORE paying taxes. Still...that's about $1200 for a single day's work. Can't beat it!

​@notdarrell This isn't a 1 day repair, and like you said it's value especially in CA is worth $6k+++ The replacement cost for that panel is over $40k when done to Riviian procedures. In my opinion it's worth more than $6k with all the advantages a PDR repair provides, regardless of the amount of time it takes.

People only worry about the price. Take that to rivian and most likely that’s a 20k job total lost for the insurance. And stay without your car for a month or 2. Is worth every penny brother great job.

rivian specs at Rivian body shop it’s $40,000 replace the Quarter Panel. You have to remove the windshield the panoramic roof glass rear window, repaint the whole side of the vehicle remove interior to weld.

How did you come up with $6000 ? I've been a PDR tech for 25+ years & I've been in body shops for most of that time.. Unless the owner kicked in a lot of money with the insurance claim , I dont see how you ever got $6000.. You could replace that entire panel for less than 6k ... Break it down for me ...

You can read the other comments. Sounds like you’re leaving a lot of money on the table. The top pdr guys I talk to get 5K-10k average. My app I get 6k average. I’m working on getting more. Rivian procedure 40k to replace.
