The NFL Rookie Mini Camp has begun for the Denver Broncos and the vibes are on point! Sean Payton seems like a night and day better place mentally than he was in his first season with the Denver Broncos and all of that is because he has found a franchise Quarterback in Bo Nix. My extended family were original season ticket holders. My Uncles's group were in the south stands in Mile High (those were some good Sundays). We only missed games during hunting season but then we listened on KOA radio (850 AM). The south stands were the loudest and nobody really wanted to go to that end zone. Like the dog pound in Cleveland.

But if somebody said that you are immature, arrogant & uncouth, which in a nutshell is what you said...I doubt you would find that to be a compliment. I keep hearing things like this from fans & media alike. Yet I can't think of a single press conference or an interview in which Wilson demonstrated any of that. In point of fact, I CAN think of a ton of other athletes who demonstrated that, yet they are never mentioned in the kind of disrespectful terms this guy is. More is made of this guy's alleged sins off the field than on it sometimes, but Wilson has literally done nothing at all in his private life to justify that. In fact, he's been as close as imaginable to the perfect role model. This is the same fan base that has legions of Tim Tebow worshipers, a guy who was probably 5% of the quarterback that Wilson was & made a public spectacle of himself by infusing his religious faith into every other sentence, kneeling to pray in the end zone, & weirdly...while making a show of his male virginity with women...was photographed with some who seemed to enjoy wearing very little clothing. What an odd dichotomy this is....I would say a double standard in fact. Even now when he is no longer on the team, this fan base continues to hate on this guy. Why? Because he failed to be as good as he was when he was younger...playing for a coach that didn't want him to start with. We can agree to disagree, but when I have posed this question to others, not a single fan has ever pointed me to even one example of Wilson being the way you're claiming in an interview or a press conference.

Ben sees a silver lining in every cloud. It's part of his charm. Reality is this team has a long climb ahead, probably 3 years. Payton has overseen two distinctive rebuilding cycles in his career with the Saints, both of them taking 3 years. In neither case however, was he breaking in a rookie QB. For all the hype over Nix, there are some major concerns that the Denver media has chosen to disregard entirely, or possibly because they did no research on him so they don't even know. That is how they do things with this team. In the beginning they prop up these guys like they're all going to be All Pros. But when reality sets in, the fan based sours on players very quickly & reacts in exactly the opposite way. Denver might be the toughest market in the country for a rookie QB to succeed in. I'm negating some of the concerns because I do trust Payton with quarterbacks, but if this kid falters, God help him because this fan base will turn on him with a vengeance.

You're basing that analysis with Russell Wilson behind center. Obviously, there was a major disconnect, and Broncos wanted Sean to transform Russell to the quarterback that he wanted. Probably good reason why Seahawks were so eager to move off of him the last two years in Seattle. He's got his guy. I'm eager to see how things will develop, but judging him with Russell is not an accurate evaluation
