We lost Mike and Keenan, we started the offseason in Cap Hell, we have 7 WRs that everybody likes ALREADY and will likely only keep 6, and we drafted THREE WRs in the draft. Chargerland "Get us MORE WRs...and make them expensive as hell!"

For the first time the Chargers are building a new foundation at Oline and Dline. It's the right thing to do but takes time. Once you build that every other position plays better. You can have an ordinary QB, WR's etc and still win games. It's not what the fans like to see. Hope they will be patient.

Mike Williams was always injured. Ken Allen was just a possession receiver. I love Palmer he is so underrated. As long as the receivers we have stay healthy will be okay.

I don't think they are going to do anything more than at WR, certainly not trade picks for Metcalf or Higgins. The Chargers' WR corps is going to be better than expected. I expect QJ to be better in 2024. Ladd. Palmer. Rice. Chark. Cornelius Johnson. I liken what the Chargers are doing at WR to what the Packers have done. GB drafted two WR each in 2022-23. None of them are #1, it's a corps of solid YOUNG players who are productive but none are superstars. This approach gave Jordan Love the tools he needed to have a breakout season last year. I see the Chargers having a similar sort of construct in a WR room dominated by youth. I expect Rice to become a player immediately, like Puka was for the Rams last season. Cornelius Johnson may be relegated to the PS, depending on what they do with Derius Davis. Like Rice though, Johnson is a better talent than his draft position.

If they really want to follow the Harbough philosophy, they should trade for interior defensive support. They would still be weak in the secondary but at least the front seven can still cause pressure and force turnovers

Here's one for ya. With all of these 1 yr deals we've signed. I've been rooting for us to sign 2 guys that would make our secondary one of the best, at least for a yr. I'm talking about signing both Simmons and Gilmore for 1 yr deals. Then when our cap goes way the heck up next yr work on long term deals.

I wouldn't be surprised if Quentin becomes No.1 for us this season, but I think that with Jim's system, that we don't need a No. 1 Receiver. If we add a Star receiver, then that will also slow Quentin's development. I wouldn't be surprised either way if this happens or not.

I think the likelihood is very low. Our WR room is solid enough for what we want to do and see what we've got. If we are going to pay a WR1 we should have kept Keenan. Also I think you are high on Palmer, he is maybe an 8-10 mil per next year, not 20. Depends on cuts and who is available but ideally we invest in our D-Line. Could upgrade at Center too. Bozeman is not ideal. More secondary depth or a CB1 would make sense.

I’ve always liked not loved Josh Palmer. He’s a good player but after seeing the graphic he posted I feel worse about him. I know he played with Mike and Keenan but never had 800 yard season and 4 TDs was his best. With all the injuries and games missed Mike and Keenan have had I expected better stats. Hopefully he can continue to improve. I don’t think he’s a 20 mil dollar receiver.

I was listening to someone the other day who was talking about Bill Walsh, and he said Bill always said the last part you build in your team is WR. This spread Offense style wont last forever, even the Chiefs have gone Defense over Offense, because they have Mahomes, I mean I would say our receiving group is a good as there's which isn't saying much. Id rather spend on an elite TE than WR. Maybe the ravens would move Mark Andrews since they have Isaiah Likely. DK would be awesome though, i would not complain if they got him.

I like Josh Palmer. I think he’s a good player. I can’t lie though I feel discouraged after you showed his stats. I thought he was better. I know ppl will say he’s a WR3 but a lot of times he was WR2 and WR1 for long stretches. I expected better stats. He’s never had an 800 yard season and best was 4 TDs. No way he’s a 20 million dollar receiver.

I think JP will have a breakout year and we will pay him as he becomes our clear-cut 1 or 2. Whenever he has had to step up in the absences of Keenan and Mike, he has performed, and even exceeded out expectations. Everything is in his favor in order for him to have a breakout year. If I was forced to answer the question "Who will breakout in the chargers WR room this season?" I would say josh palmer with zero hesitancy
