If Tim Patrick is fully healthy he will get the medium routes and open up Sutton for some quick catches and deep chances. If that happens then Sutton will have a career year.

The more I watch these episodes, you can tell he’s not a fan of Bo Nix. Of course we all want him to succeed. But constantly shows doubt. Kinda ruins the excitement for watching these.

A lot will come down to QB. People have to remember the way Russ played, short gain every throw, was not what Coach SP wanted. If Bo/Jarrett/Zach fit his system better, it could look totally different than last year.

Fans want to see Bo Nix win the job because of his draft position. I get that. But when the regular season starts and the live bullets start flying, it's going to be all about who gives us the best chance to win. If that's Stidham, then so be it.

If Bo NIx needs Courtland Sutton in order for him to develop, what does that say about him? Nobody is suggesting that Jarrett Stidham needs him. A true NFL franchise level QB has to perform at a high level even if he doesn't have all the weapons he wants at his disposal. If we need to put our finger on the scale & sign a guy for more than he's worth just because the rookie needs a security blanket, that's basically an admission that the kid is not ready for prime time yet. We're not talking about Jefferson, Lamb or Davante Adams here. We're talking about a guy who has been decidedly underwhelming for most of his career in Denver. He's a #2 WR who fans talk themselves into seeing as a #1, but he is nowhere near indispensable. If having this guy in there is really necessary for Nix to play well, then Bo is not ready. Besides...think about what kind of WR Sutton is. Is he the kind that squirts off the line & gains instant separation so the QB can hit him in stride for a quick pass he unloads in less than 2.5 seconds? No...he's not. He's the guy Wilson found downfield while he was scrambling around & threw him a 50/50 ball he knew he had a good shot at coming down with because of his size advantage. That's literally what you yourself just said Nix did not have to do.

@@craigbennett6628 We also have Troy Franklin, DeVaughn Vele & Jalen Virgil, all of whom they appear to be high on as potential player we move forward with past this year as Sutton turns 30. There are 25 Courtland Suttons in the NFL...at least. Payton has taken 3 years in the past to rebuild, which means we're looking at 2026 as the year this team becomes a real contender. By then Sutton will be 32 & we will need to be playing young guys. There is little point in signing expensive players who are going to be gone when that time comes.
