Denver Zoo's baby greater one-horned rhino being adorable for 78 seconds

Denver Zoo's bundle of rhino joy is two weeks old! This gal is full of energy-running around the stall, bumping into mom, and digging her “horn” around in the soft shavings. This is beyond cute and precious. This baby rhino certainly has his own personality. He is happy, playful and enjoying his life. Mama rhino loves her baby very much. At the end of the video, seeing mother and baby snuggled up and taking a nap together left a lump in my throat. Absolutely beautiful. God bless mama rhino and her beautiful baby.

Tensing's horn is right where it should be! It's a little shorter and more dome-like than other greater one-horned rhinos, but that's her personal preference. We never shave or trim horns here, but the animals can file them down themselves using logs, or other items in their habitat. Also, greater one-horned rhino horn's aren't nearly as long and sharp as the black or white rhino species. GOH horns aren't their primary defense weapon, so it doesn't need to be so large.
