I might be slow or some but i did watch abit of this back in 2015 and i decided to rewatch it all. I am on day 3. I know it is 8 years later, but if anyone wants to discuss the trial, i am here.

I'm sorry...but I've got to say that the constant, annoying, and utterly frivolous objections by the public defender's attorney as the prosecution questions the injured shooting victims (witnesses) is outrageous! Who in the hell do they think they are! Their (public defender's attorneys) smug, insensitive & cavalier attitude towards the shooting victims makes me sick to my stomach. This is one of the primary reasons lawyers, especially public defender's office, have an abysmal reputation and are universally despised and viewed as pond scum bottom feeders. Absolutely disgraceful behavior and utterly pathetic!

Mr. Breckler did an outstanding job of question the witness, Mr. Nowlan. Up until this point many witness/victims have testified. However, the previous attorneys did not use a dramatic approach. They also did not have Mr. Breckler's questioning techniques to show the jury the true horror that the people in the Aurora shooting suffered. That night. I wish Mr Breckler had been in charge of questioning all of the victims. Outstanding job #Mr.Breckler. (I am probably misspelling his name.

One thing I do not understand, is that the movie was still playing , and the siren she was on all that time. why didn't the theater shut that off mainly the movie, good grief

Caroline Carnevale ice wondered that. But the projectionist is just back in the second level behind all the seats. Everyone in that theater was hiding or getting away. Besides first responders obviously.

Ummmm’ it’s not that easy! Plus everyone is probably ran out including the staff when it went down. So a cop trying to find someone to listen and shut it off! It’s not as easy as you thinks if you was paying attention. You hear the cop say how he had to scream and have them make eye contact. Cuz it was useless

I have to say, I am impressed with the jury's questions thus far. Makes sense and would be helpful in their decision making. Edit: also, on the State's side , even though the DA( it s that right? The head atty? I am spacing in his name sorry) is more theatrical than I like, he is understandable and is "sure" of his questions. I'll note, that I probably be more like the second days female atty( w/o the "vocal" fry) lol- I would not be clear sadly, I don't think anyway. ( Don't worry, not quitting my day job 😉)

@7 News - The Denver Channel @MarcKMGH The judge ruled that the prosecution could play the other two 911 calls. I have only heard one played since that time. That was the babysitter of little 6-Year old, Victoria. Which witness was on the stand when the second 911 call was played?

I guess we will find out later but I am curious. Does anyone have an opinion on what caused the shooter to stop? Was it because he had decided to leave? With the ammunition he had I am surprised that anyone survived. God bless the people of Aurora.
@rosekaela9 жыл бұрын
Debbie Lyons I believe his gun jammed and by that point he was standing next to his vehicle (probably to get more guns) with the door open when police officers approached and apprehended him. It is a blessing that his gun jammed and he didn't have time to get more.
@rosekaela9 жыл бұрын
Sorry, *one of his guns jammed. His rifle jammed and he had to use other weapons therefore he didn't get off nearly as many shots as he would have if that hadn't jammed.
@FaithAdoptmegamer9 жыл бұрын
@Nikaela Rose Didn't he bring in several guns and plenty of ammunition?
@rosekaela9 жыл бұрын
Debbie Lyons It's hard to tell, from what I thought he brought in those three guns initially and had several knives on him in addition to the tear gas. I'm not positive about the ammunition, it may have been hard for him to see/ reload in the theater and that's also why he went out to his car. I do know that he didn't expect many police officers to be there because he thought someone would have tripped the wire and exploded his apartment by then, so they would be distracted and he would have more time. I think you're right, and as we go on we will find out more specifics but this is all I have gathered so far.
@FaithAdoptmegamer9 жыл бұрын
Nikaela Rose - that is a good point. He probably did go outside to reload. How sad. I am still listening to day 4. It appears that the judge ruled that media could have access to some of the exhibits that were not clear on the screen. If you happen to run across them, let me know.

Testimony doesn't add up. I must be missing some parts. The woman cop says she was there within mins, and a bunch of police were already there. No cops report hearing any shots... Just shows how different eye witness accounts can be.....I thought victims came out the rear exit before James did. Didn't the kid shot in the back leave out the back door? From where this officer says he was located, wouldn't he have seen the victims coming out and have a seen James coming out? In today's world that first officer would be arrested for not going into the theater, just like the security officer in parkland.

I actually wonder if Mr. Nowlan, based on his speech pattern (the cadence, monotone, and the almost inappropriately quick responses for the situation) as well as the sort of self-soothing type of "hmm" if he is actually on the spectrum. Some of the things he says and does during testimony would support this.

Can you imagine the fear and horror that man went through?. He is a hero as he thought of others at his worst moment. He is no doubt traumatized and will be for the rest of his life. He deserves your respect and appreciation. Your comments are insensitive. His speech is ‘driving you nuts’? Can you imagine how he feels today? Can you imagine what ‘drives him nuts’ today. The slightest loud noise could send him back to this moment. Please have respect for others.
