The Deosai Plains are additionally home to the Red Fox, Golden Marmot, Himalayan Ibex, Gray Wolf, the Ladakh Urial, the Snow Leopard, and in excess of 124 inhabitant and transient flying creatures. Himalayan brown bears are a heritage which must be jealously guarded. The people around living in nearby villages are very understandable. They will help in rehabilitating and increasing the number of bears. Dr. Anis ur Rehman a dental doctor is putting in colossal efforts by way of educating the villagers, preventing poaching, use of collars to track the bears. The animal is being brought back from the brink of extinction. Another attraction in Deosai is the Sheosar lake located at 10,000 feet. It freezes during winters. In summers its a big fishing attraction. Shingo River runs down the centre of Deosai plains located at 13000 feet. Its rich in trout fish in Summers. Golden marmonts abound the plains during Summers.
