Tidal Tempest's Present: Tidal Tempest is an underwater region that strongly resembles Labyrinth. It rests at the base of many volcanoes and rocky structures only seen at the very beginning of the Present zones. Pipes carry water from one area to another, with stone pillars adorning certain parts of the zone. The water elevation is normal in the Present, giving the zone a greenish/clear tint when entered.

If I made a sonic oc based on this song, it would definitely be a jellyfish (or jellyfish like), a light blue one with a dress that would have a puffy skirt and pastel ribbons hanging off of it to resemble a real jellyfish. They would have crystals on their arm and face and limbs that fade into blue to look like water. They would have on a crown of kelp and coral.

Ooooooohhhhhhhh. This song, man, this song is soooooo goooood. An absolutely ethereal mix that manages to capture the sheer, otherworldly beauty of the deep sea. It feels downright orgasmic in places- it’s sooooooo goooooooood. Sadly the same can’t be said about the stage- a poor man’s take on Labyrinth Zone with no real sense of challenge or urgency. It’s just... kind of boring. Nothing really happens- but at least the music makes it bearable.

It's tragic but I feel that way about most of the CD levels when I play that game, like the music, atmosphere and ideas are so phenomenal but the actual game is kind of dull and annoying. It's really sad, it's like Chaotix all over again, I adore everything about that game except the damn level design because it's so shittily designed and boring. I even love the Combi Ring physics thing, it was rad, just not utilized in a properly challenging way at all. CD has the cool time travel thing and the exploration angle, but just done as boring and tediously frustrating as possible. If the level design (and maybe the bosses too) were better, those two games maybe could have been more highly regarded up there with the classic trilogy, instead of the weird forgotten extra games. They're both basically Sonic 1.5 and Sonic 4. But at least CD gets rereleases lol, Chaotix isn't even canon anymore. I guess it shows how fundamentally important the level design is in classic Sonic games. That exact issue is also what I think kind of ruins the Advance trilogy and Rush as well. It's so important to get that shit perfect and have a fundamental understanding of what a Sonic level should flow like, like what was done with Mania. They absolutely nailed it there.

@@NathanWoyessa okay allow me to elaborate, the good future, i found to be super boring, like really really boring, it removes the water drop sounding thing which removes the super nice vibe, and the actual remix is so boring, that it fails to be chill imo, the bad future, is also boring, i like it more than the G future, but it's so different, that all that's left, is a boring song, and the past, welp i don't hate tbh, i just think it's forgettable that's all! otherwise it's fine enough, if again a bit boring, basically i find the overall motif to be boring, but this song has elements such as the water droplet sounding things, that add a layer to the song, which gives it a nice chill vibe! hope this explained my thoughts a bit better!
