I'm 63yrs old. I was listening 🎧 on to some music and Depeche mode played next. Man I'm thinking who are these guys? And that was like six months ago. I heard a couple of their songs before, like in the 80's , but I wasn't sure who the band was. I put a thumb down 1. because I don't recognise Dave Gahan as the frontman he was in the 80's 90's. Too much grimaces and hands flowing weirdly in the air. Too much acting. His voice suffers of this. 2. The live videos are always Gahan Gore Eigner . The song is great though when you listen to the album version.

I am from England..I have been trying to think why the bands music has transcended the decades and travels with me more than any other music and I guess its because is grown wit the band and honestly hits every poignant moment of my life, or suits a theme to every major moment.. not sure how that happened, but if my life were a film, it could have a DM track for most moments of my life.. Or does it fit into how I am feeling at any moment, or does it change how I am feeling at any moment. I have a wide range of musical tastes, my main love is dance music, modern and old Skool but I always gravitate back to some DM, when I need to search my soul.
