Newfies are big hearted dogs that love three things... water, their people, and naps. And in my no-so-very humble opinion are well worth the brushing and drool cleaning.

The younger kid loved Rocky the second he laid eyes on him. Having some kids around to get into mischief with is probably the best medicine for Rocky's depression ... no time to feel down when you have an adventure to master and treats to steal.

My Aunt had a Newfoundlander, it ran by the front door at my grandma’s and i thought he was a bear. As a little kid we snuggled on a rug in front of the fire, excellent disposition!

A friend of my wife had a mixed breed dog, with something in the mix that slobbered. Her walls were shiny for 3 or 4 feet up, due to 'varnishing' effect accumulated slobber has. 😁
