I love so much seeing these dogs that are not actually competing just have fun, showing even the silliest of doggos can do agility! The pom doing those leaps was genuinly so nice, and the zooming with all the hair pushing back is just so precious.

I prefer this to shows about breeding competitions. A lot of purebreds have health issues. This shows off the bond between owner and dog.

For those who may not have seen it, there's a parody of Olly's performance created by Stuart Breedon, a friend of Olly's handler. Breedon used sound effects including a car crash and a shrieking cat, among others. He also set Olly's joyous fiasco to Richard Strauss' "Thus Spake Zarathustra" (better known to many as the theme from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey). Breedon's edit takes Olly's hilarity to a whole other level. I highly recommend it! Olly forever! The video is on Breedon's KZbin channel titled, "Olly the amazing Jack Russell & Karen at Crufts 2017".

I called my dachshund Torpedo Nose for a while. Every time we were close together I ended up with his nose in an eye. Especially bending down to put his harness on, leash him, dry him off, pet him, feed him or pick him up to love him. I'd get a nose in my eye. The dear boy would be so enthusiastic about life he just couldn't contain himself. He's too old to get that eager now. My eyes survived Torpedo Nose. He showed up on my doorstep, young but grown, a decade ago. Hadn't had a hound before and he was very diffferent that my big dogs. He's snoozing against my left hip, his favorite spot when we're internetting. Silly goose doesn't want toys or doggie friends. All he desires is good, juicy scents to smell and somebody to feed him. Never had a smarter dog out of a past of very intelligent canines. Instinct, intuition and intelligence combined to make him so smart it's almost eerie. He can pick an untrustworthy person out of a crowd of people in a heartbeat.and will attempt to herd them towards the exit. Those who know he does this watch with big grins. Others think he's just a dumb dog. He's a longhaired, too, so people think he's just some fancified lap dog (tho he does that task very, very well) and they completely dismiss any thoughts of his intelligence and ferocity. Just try and get too close to me and see just how fierce my handsome, silky sidekick can be. He also knows when I'm upset and he sticks his floofy head in my face and instantly my mood changes. Sixteen months after Budlee came my son died from pneumonia. I wanted to follow him but Buddy still needed me. He'd been abandoned once and I couldn't do it to him again altho I have a long list of people who would gladly take the charming cheese-fiend. I think angels led him to my door. My yard was the least likely place n the neighborhood for a dumped dog to end up in. 💕💕. Son named him. Wendy Lee. Ryan Lee. Budlee is his government name but he answers to Beezer, Budaloo, Bitsy, Budsy, Bubby, Bear, Honey, Sugar, Mighty Mole Marauder, hot dog, chili dog, Bunny or any combination of the above. He is loved. He IS love. He howls when I leave the house without him, the whole time I'm gone. I've never heard or seen it. My sister has, tho. 😁
