Jeremiah 29: 11 - one of my kids was diagnosed with leukemia at age 9. That verse has seen us through some dark days. He has relapsed 3 times. But at 26 years old he is still giving it his all. God is good and He knows what is ahead of you. Keep going. one minute one hour one day at a time. Remember you are not alone. You'll be in my prayers.

My all time favorite KZbin channel is Diane in Denmark. She began as a fly lady cleaning systems representative, but is honestly the most motivating individual. She shares so much about hygge and planning for regular self care. Try to start with on of her 31 baby steps videos where she shares how and why she began to adopt routines.

When I look at a room and don't know where to start, I just pick a corner. I start in that corner and work around the room. The other mantra in our house is trash, laundry, dishes. Those are three things that pile up quickly throughout house and are the easiest to address because we know exactly what to do with those.

I have ADHD meaning a lack of Dopamine produced normally in the brain. These are needed for motivation, focus, short term memory or feeling confident and satisfied. I suffered years from depression and lack of energy. The trick that helps me is to produce Dopamine by accomplishing small tasks, step my step in the morning. To get up immediately,( say to myself yes!!! well done!), then to make just 7min of fitness (you are super, high five in the mirror), then make a coffee, then make my bed, then make my hair... and so on. And check the things on a list, because making a check produces Dopamine as well. With the sense of accomplishment and constantly talking nice to myself I built up momentum which enables me to do larger tasks later. Maybe it helps you too? Wish you all the best, and thank you for your motivating channel 🤗

Oh, and my favorite Bible verse is “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen. I will be exalted in the earth”. It just reminds me to stop listening to the voices in my head and just “be still”. Awesome video. I know some of mine is depression with a lot of just plain old lazy. I'm a 71 year old widow with 6 (!) housecats and a cluttered 3 bedroom house...very cluttered!! You are an encouragement along with my decision to commence Swedish Death Cleaning. I am not sick but I would surely hate to leave this mess for my 2 daughters! So...throwing or donating a lot of my stuff! 3 positives...sink is cleaned out for the 3rd night in a row. Threw some old makeup away and my kitchen bar is almost cleaned off! Thank you...and my favorite from the Bible is all of Psalm 91. It's awesome!!

Not a Bible verse but from one woman to another that suffers from depression. I am a RN who was afraid to admit I had depression because I didn't want to be put on depression medications in case it interferred with my job. At 62 I became disabled and my doctor also diagnosed me with depression and I was put on medication. I couldn't believe the difference. Things that helped me were little things. Taking a shower, getting cleaned up. Putting on clothes I really liked (for some reason in depression we tend to put on things that we cont care for or non colored colored clothing which tend to make us feel blah) put on make up (by the way your make is beautiful) and those 3 things alone will lift us up because we feel better and it makes us feel we are at our best. Look at yourself and tell yourself and see how beautiful you are. Remind yourself how talented, smart and wonderful you are. in your case a great teacher to your children, a great mother and good wife, you have raised a wonderful family, you have a strong faith in God. When you think of more write them down and read over them several times a day for conformation. Always tell yourself you are doing the best you can at this moment. I am very impressed with you myself. You seem warm, loving and caring of your family and friends, you are a beautiful and intelignent that gives to many people. Hang in there, it will get easier. 'Best wishes to all, MiChelle in Amaillol

Good things(not easy to find/admit through the "eyes" of depression):1:yday I had a hard parents-teacher meeting because of my younger son's behavior in e.school. at the end-when they understood my side-I got two reassuring hugs from parents. 2: I had a huge talk on the phone with one of my loved ones 3: I fell asleep feeling my older son stroking my back caringly....:)..... I love how You are honest with us. It gives so much! Hope, patience for myself. And good laughs when I see familiar piles and mess! And it's a strong example for me as you manage life every day. My mother lived in depression, and yes, when a depressed person is responsible for homemaking, the result reveals the disorder of the person. I don't have kids, but all my health and mental health problems are an everyday thing 😩 To top it off, I do have bad luck. Getting bad reactions to food and allergies sets me back. One night of puking can set me back for up to a week. I just got off a new anti depressant for January that decided to do the opposite. I scratched my cornea tonight while I had just started trying to study and get notes in order for tomorrow night. Seems like I can't do anything. Definitely getting a new therapist this week, though. Hoping my doctor can see me tomorrow ❤️❤️ Holding onto hope and that someone up there is watching out for us is what keeps me going! 🙏😎 You got this!

Girl, yes. I hear you, I feel you, & I completely understand what you're talking about & going through. Life with depression is such a struggle, & I love how real & genuine you are. I loved this 'Small Victories' video. I tend to make ambitious to do lists & then getting overwhelmed & either shutting down or working on it & beating myself up for not getting enough done. My counselor had me start taking the 5 most important (& realistic) tasks from my mega list & only work on those 5. If I get them done & still have energy, I can add 2 more at a time. But I'm only allowed to look at my mega list when I'm selecting the 1st 5 or adding 2. I love your list of Bible verses & 3 positive things. I may start doing that for myself. Thank you!!!

1. I shaped my brows and did a face mask. 2. I straightened my food pantry and did dishes. 3. I had loose knobs on my pantry so I added washers and then did the same for my upstairs closet doors. Today I pushed myself out to use up some pantry items, Then I shopped for stretchy jean so I have something other than pjs and I did grocery shopping. I did dishes and washed two loads of laundry. I don’t have littles so I can cram a little in a few hours. I had lots of hours where I didn’t get a thing done but try to get my body to do something, any darn thing. Thanks for being real, Shannon. Good morning Shannon! You're one of my favorite KZbinrs! ❤ I like Psalms 143:8, especially on this glorious morning! Yesterday was a wonderful day - the positives were: 1. in our frozen land of snow and ice it was a balmy 9 degrees Celsius, which for us is like spring time! 2. Got to go to church without a winter coat on! 3. (This is going to sound weird) We have cattle and I needed to go out and get some numbers on some of them, well let me tell you - there is nothing more relaxing than standing in the middle of a bunch of cows in the sunshine. Quietly chewing their cud, they're very curious and always come and check you out, but you can't be loud or fast, or they'll run away, so you just have to be quiet and slow around them, I swear its the most relaxing thing, and with the sun on your face, it is the best! I hung out there for like 2 hours! Thanks so much for the great video and hope you're having a good day today, and maybe get a minute to enjoy the sun on your face too! 🌞😊

Thanks for sharing these tips, I love how you included other things you do besides literal cleaning tasks that help you to begin feeling better. As far as the cleaning goes, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the Flylady cleaning method, but as someone with a history of anxiety and depression and who just went through a bout of postpartum depression and anxiety, this system has been revolutionary. It adds these little baby steps on to your routine slowly that help to improve your routines… and each little baby step is something that is easy but gives a good sense of accomplishment that help with motivation and I find it boosts my mood. There’s several KZbinrs who do flylady content which helped me get started and there’s also a book by the person who created it. She came up with this system after battling depression herself.

Thank you for sharing yourself when you're not at your most tiptop - for letting us all know we aren't alone - that other people get sad and tired and leave the path for awhile just like I do. I think you're handling it so well, because if I know one thing, it's that beating yourself up for not getting things done which you feel you ought to - is a surefire way to ensure it never ever gets done! Gentle and kind and as loving as you can possibly be while in the down time is the only way to go - taking those wins however small - for all they're worth. Yesterday - I did my exercise which I've been doing that since also reading James Clear! OMG! You and I are getting advice from the same fellow! I'm thrilled by that! I read his 'Atomic Habits' a month ago and since then I keep asking - am I the type of person who gets on their treadmill and then gets out their exercise mat? And, yes, apparently I am that type of person 😊

I feel you so much on this. The worse you feel, the worse the house gets. The worse the house gets, the worse you feel. I've battled depression and my home for years, and it's exhausting. One of the best things that I learned is that you don't need motivation to start. You need to start to get motivation. Dawn from The Minimal Mom has been a tremendous inspiration for me over the last year. And you, dear friend, remind me that it's okay to not be okay all the time. Setbacks happen. I really, truly appreciate your reminders to say something kind to myself. We often forget to treat ourselves as well as we treat others...

I have a channel. Ma of six. I do lots of grocery hauls and starting to do a series of decluttering my home. This is so helpful to see real life I appreciate you showing us.

I've been digging myself out of a decline after getting exposed to gluten and being sick feonit. Then sick kiddo etc. Man the things people feel free to day to another person when they are going through it sometimes amazes me. I've found it hard to be kind to myself ever since. Just put calming sleep in my defuser now and I'm hoping to enjoy a quiet evening after cleaning up some places that were haunting my spirit each and every second of the day, every day.

You doing great, just got to keep moving forward. I have depression ,it like a roller coaster ride sometimes, but I just tell myself it's a moment and a feeling, so I know God is my rock! I love watching Plus size in Canada.

Depression is a terrible thing to have. I have it too. I know I'm not lazy but other people don't see it that way. I have got to the point of think whatever you want about me. I know how I feel they don't. Far as the messy stuff I have learned that it will still be there for me when I am ready to get it done. Just know that you are not alone. After all tomorrow is a new day!

Thankyou so much for this video, it has really helped me, I’m now creating a list of ‘small victories’ to cross off, it’s a great idea. I really appreciate your openness and honesty about depression, it helps me feel less alone, thankyou so much. Xx

hi, Chel again just finished watching your post as we had a break, cos we were invited into neighbours for coffee, 1st time since they moved in 2 years ago. That was a positive thing, 2nd positive my blood sugars are under control, and 3rd painted garden furniture this morning and they look great. Chel andJeff
