Once, back in 2007 when I was looking for new unknown bands, I've heard this genre for the first time. I found a "Russian Pagan Depressive Black Metal" band. I was amazed by the depth of how many sub-sub-genres they had. It sounded like tv static, rain and someone trying to knock down a tree with a bucksaw. My only regret was forgetting the name of this band. Sad... ...Like it was designed to be.

The screaming in the song made me laugh so much. Every single time I heard a scream or howl in the song, I just imagine you in your car trying not to annoy your neighbors and I almost fell off my couch because I'm in a similar situation. Ahh the complexities of being a rock musician in a small apartment surrounded by neighbors (and in my case, a wife) who expect quiet. Haha! I think this is the story of all rock musician's lives. From the time I started making music way back in the 80's, people were telling me to "TURN THAT SHIT DOWN!!!!!" and I was always looking for creative ways to record stuff like vocals, drums, and other things without annoying people, while still keeping the music heavy and harsh.
