Dimmu Borgir... well, I started with Spiritual Black Dimensions and Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, and tbh, even Death Cult Armageddon was a big change compared to these. DCA was a... eh, okay. Cradle of Filth? Even they don't call themselves black metal. :D How about Belzebubs? It sounds so honestly cute, that it just can't be a poser band. :D I have heard Thy Catafalque is... "Avantgarde Black Metal", but I simply can't find the black part in it, even tho I love the band. How about Christian Epidemic? I loved their early stuffs - dunno the newer ones. ^^ And how about more abstract sheet, like Sulphur Aeon, The Great Old Ones, Ajattara, Dargaard, Moonlight Sorcery or Wormlight? Graveworm is also like Dimmu Borgir for me: I liked their early stuff, and later they went to a way it didn't agree with me. Ok, that's all for my random examples flood. ^^
