I loved this video, as recommended by Talasbuan. It is beautiful in so many ways. I am a 78 year old woman in England and find youtube is a wonderful way of learning new things and seeing how others live. A balance is necessary, agreed, and I realise I'm not reading as many books as before. Still, such videos as this are life enhancing, so thank you very much for that.

When I am waiting for the bus here in the city of my town I can see about 20 people watching their phones, just when they are waiting for busses. I am used to just stay and wait (we had no technical gadgets when I was young). It is a good time doing nothing, just waiting. Same thing on the bus, just sit there, doing nothing, looking out of the window, being a free person, it is time for the relaxation we all need !

You have some interesting points. Perhaps turning back the hands of the clock would be a way to deprogram. I would do it 5 or 10 years at a time. Each time you turn the clock back use only those items that were available at that time. When you are comfortable with the time era you are in then stop. That is where you are most comfortable. Live your life in that era. Jim in California
@happygoluckyland Жыл бұрын
Thanks!! That's great advice! :) I like many things about the seventies, but I wouldn't be able to afford a plastic boat of a synth in that era. But I'll try to think more about which era to live, or cherry pick the things that are best from all of history :)

I agree one does spend too much time looking at screens. Having said this you tube and meeting people like you Moses and Mathias. I learn a lot from people all over the world and when I had my children and was living in Africa there was no computers and you needed 48 hrs in a day to do everything and now I am 65 years old and times have changed. Having moved from Africa to the Netherlands then to the UK it is amazing how time has evolved. A balance is necessary in ones life and I have found I have been stimulated by people like Mathias, Tova, you and loads of other people in homesteading, renovations, etc etc. I have had to make a schedule, I do not go near the computer till all my chores etc etc are done and then at night (we do not have television) had one got rid of it when my son was about 6 years old as he would continually want it on and the ads, since then I have had 5 children no t.v. I read before going to bed to unwind from the day. Enjoy your day and I wish you the best with your deprogramming as it can be an addiction. Have a lovely day. I am glad you had a good time with Mathias and visited him.

I appreciate your willingness to share your journey on the road to deprogramming as it seems to be quite a struggle; a struggle that I did not experience growing up in the 60's and 70's. Please know that I find you an inspiration, even though I didn't experience the same. I wish you well with your youtube channel and look forward to watching. Well done video! Some moments in the conversation are sensational. There was a great and inspiring documentarist in our Czech context, Jan Spata, who - and my memory may be of ementhaler style - basically said that the most precious moments of documenting is when the person stops for a while, thinking, eyes wandering, brain calibrating words and the so-called soul hesitant to continue. It is quiet, but the air is filled with thoughts. The nation with likes of I.Bergman probably knows that ad nausem as an artistic tool. But to capture a real moment, with no pretention and just funny side of it all, it makes life just so much cosier to carry on even on the semi-programmed paths. Well done, really!

Hi Mose, nice video. You have interesting music on your planet, little disturbing, but interesting. Interesting thoughts at the end of the video. In my opinion, there is just too much information in the air for one to absorb in one lifetime. If man wants to gain from those information and to to be drained, he must reduce amount of it, even if it means sort out good stuff. Mind is allways hungry for more information no matter if it is harmful for the body or not.

Haha thank you!! yes I make the music myself so it becomes different weird creations every time. I don't plan to make it disturbing or anything it just comes out like that :p That is very true. As a retired data base administrator, I enjoy learning about technology on youtube. I hardly ever watch tv but I will admit that I am very fickle about subscribing or even watching a full video. If the topic or the presenter gets political or even a little angry, I flip away to something else. If it is not entertaining me, I search for a more suitable channel. As an american, I am very annoyed by most of the Indian presenters on udemy because so many words are mispronounced that it becomes an irritation. The topic of AI is currently very interesting but if I can't understand the accent, I try to avoid adding stress to my day. You, Mattias and Tova all speak clearly and I will try to learn from you, though. When my kids come to visit, I tell them about the new things I have learned this week on youtube so it's a great conversation topic for me. Keep up the good work!

I left social media after Jan6 because Facebook had become too hostile for me. At the same time I stopped going to my other Social media accounts. I hardly post to Instagram anymore. When I do it is of things I have created. After making my post I quickly leave the sight. Whenever I catch myself scrolling I quit. Scrolling is the most aggravating activity. Actually it does not even qualify as an activity. It is a simple waste of time. I much prefer to be busy doing something with my hands. This morning I hopped on to Truth Social. I wasn’t there for two minutes because I hate scrolling. I much prefer Telegram because it picks up where I last visited. I can get my news without scrolling. Scrolling to me has now become like the “Tingler” crawling up my spine. See the movie “Tingler” the only escape is to scream or it will kill you. That is exactly how I now feel about Social Media since I have weaned myself OFF of it. I am actually working on a project while watching this video. The title intrigued me.
