Take a look at the Blender add-on Depth Map Batch...it creates depth maps in a batch process in bulk for a directory of images or video file, and it's all run locally without APIs and no web services.

Yeah, tech is moving really fast, makes this vid old. I now have generative AI on Premiere Pro (beta version), just waiting for After Effects AI. We probably won't need to process depth maps next week😀Cheers!

I like how quick the action works in Photoshop. The only issue I have is that Volumax loses a lot of detail when the depth map is generated. You can use the adjustments to make the detail stand out a little better but it is not ideal for fiber laser scanning. I have Volumax, and I just cannot get a good enough depth map.

You can still paint over the depth map in Photoshop, make dark darker and grey whiter to improve the contrast.

Prefer using zoedepth instead of Photoshop a lot more detail!

First of all thanks for the video & second sorry for my bad english, but Both method are same, photoshop neural filter is built- in photoshop filter in newer version while volumax method is only action set use photoshop's built-in neural filter to make Depthmap. i use it for Produce my 3d photos ( stereoscopic 3D }. and i have made my own action for making depthmap and 3d photo. thank u.

You can batch convert depth maps using photoshop.

i guess i should add you need to throw the image into aftereffects, and use the depth map to drive a displacement map.
