Everyone blaming Eric for everything these days I've noticed. Jim Gordan (the man who was dating Rita Coolidge at the time) was the one who half stole the coda from her actually. they both came up with it and between the time of coming up with it and Layla being released, they broke up. Jim, I guess in some sort of jealous salty angry way (because of the break up) decided to take the credit all completely for himself in the creation of the piano part. That's the true story.
