Everybody judging this woman about how she’s behaving do not know what she’s going through at all. We are All so very different so don’t ever have a predisposed script of, “If it were me I’d.....” Because you don’t know what you would do in a traumatic situation of loss.

Why are some people on this comment section so out of touch ? This woman is grieving and that could have been any one of us who lost a love one . Andl living with having family members dealing with drugs addiction , i can tell you that it is very hard to come out of it . Georges Floyd was just a human being suffering from an illness, could have been alcohol or smoking addiction for goodness iness sake . And the woman is actually humanizing Georges Floyd to the jury and at the same time showing them that even though they were both doing the same drugs she is still alive and well which is the contrary of what the defense is trying to show .

@Roz Henderson Nope, the coroner's first report said that he had fatal levels of Fentanyl, nearly four times the level of an overdose, and had no life-threatening injuries. And you'll have to be more specific about which drug addict son of Biden's we're talking about. The one that was in the military or the one that slept with his dead brother's wife? White people are the major victims of opioid abuse, so please don't turn this into an issue of "systemic black rayyycism." It's embarrassing.

So, he as a person would be a drug addict? He would've robbed another pregnant woman at gun point in the near future if this wouldn't have happened. Either that or he'd be dead from a drug overdose this case has nothing to do with race and sadly its been turned into that.. Imagine how kids will look at black and brown people years from now after witnessing last years riots over this turd.

Please read and understand a comment first before you guys write anything about that comment. Nowhere in my comment you see me saying anything about the officer. Do you see me saying that George was a good man? No, cause I didn’t know him. What is it right what he did to that woman whether pregnant or not? Absolutely not. A woman is a woman and should be respected just for that fact. That’s what I teach my son. And of course you will not feel bad for Floyd because the officer did not put his knee on your child, daughter, father, mother, uncle or anyone in your family. Had he done that, your opinion would have been totally different. I can only say what I feel is wrong or right. If you're being critical of this witness and you have not been through trauma I can speak for my experience that it is commendable that we all continue to show up in life and work and do the things that are needed to get by. This often means that we put on a smile or reassurance that we're "doing just fine" even if there's an enormous amount of pain that we are feeling. (I would argue that it's disingenuous to act as if we're fine) So many people who experience trauma in their lives pretend that... "we're fine" and when you start to tell a story, and this again it's from my experience, almost always there is a gushing of emotions that comes up unexpectedly and people will adjust to try to apologize for having emotions - and smile as if trying to regain composure

The clubs former owner Maya Santamaria, has publicly declared there's no proof that the 2 ever met or knew each other at all. One ex employee of the club, David Pinney did some interviews with the media saying the 2 had "bumped heads". He then soon publicly retracted the story because he mistook Floyd for another Black employee. The theory they knew each other has been disproven, unless someone else from the club steps forward to say otherwise.

The autopsy states that his death was caused by the subdual (the fight while he was resisting arrest) and restraint IN THE SETTING OF his severe heart disease and the drug intoxication. Facts matter. That statement right there is reasonable doubt as to whether the police are responsible for his death. If he hadn't had the drugs in his system would he have died? Who knows? (Reasonable doubt.) Floyd objectively killed himself but that doesn't mean that Chauvin is completely innocent. There is no excuse for kneeling (or whatever you want to call it) on an unresponsive man for 2 minutes. I can give benefit of the doubt to the officers because Floyd was a violent psychotic maniac who was out of his mind from all the lethal doses of poison he took. After he goes unconscious and unresponsive, the only thing that mitigates the officers not performing their duty as first responders is the angry mob that has formed. I still think Chauvin is guilty of negligence at the very least.

There was no justifiable reason for Chauvin to put his knee into his neck like that. May not be first degree murder, but the point is George Floyd didn't need to die. Side note, the war on drugs is a failure and the opioid epidemic is serious and tragic. I mean it wouldn't hurt to have some compassion. You could try. Put in some effort. Cant be that hard. Like we get it...you hate MSNBC...we still have police wielding weapons and tactics that are way too violent and over the top and leave innocent people dead.
@randomname6475

@Jan Shib I mean its complicated actually. And I already know youre not a doctor and Im not a doctor so were both talking out of our ass here. It kind of sounds like you're telling a story right now of your personal interpretation. From what I saw they brought in an ICU physician that testified it wasn't the drugs that killed Floyd, but a combination of the compression from the street, handcuffs, and the officers physically detaining him. I also can see parts of the story of Floyd not complying with the police which caused them to be concerned of his mental state. And I saw one officer say to the EMT that Floyd was resisting initially. So, we don't actually know if Floyd was a walking dead man. I saw another doctor who performed the autopsy say the drugs and heart issues contributed to his death, but were not the main cause. The main cause was listed as the restraint and neck compression. You know, the same concept applies to someone who is obese or someone with a preexisting lung condition. And imagine if one these individuals was restrained and had a knee on their neck while on the ground in handcuffs. For 9 minutes I believe? These qualities may be factors related to their death, but the death would not have happened if it wasnt for the compression of the neck. The police decided to detain Floyd. They did not need to lay him on his stomach. They did not need to put a knee to his neck. Once detained, and handcuffed, they should have rolled him on his side and addressed the pleas from him about him having trouble breathing. At this point he was no threat and at this point the officer who refused to lay him on his side was Chauvin. This is negligence that resulted in the death Floyd.

This woman claims to have had a three year relationship with Floyd and didn’t even know how many children he had. She said he had two daughters when he in fact had five, some of whom he hadn’t seen in years and you can bet he didn’t pay child support for. So how much does she really know about this man? Under the influence of drugs or not, take derek chauvin out of the equation & George Floyd would likely still be here. 'Reasonable force' was overstepped when George Floyd became unconscious. Had chauvin taken his knee off Floyd's neck at that time, he likely would have regained consciousness. Chauvin went several minutes beyond his reasonable force defence. His past crimes do not come into it. His drug use does not come into it. It was not for Derek chauvin to punish any of George Floyd's wrong doings.
