I had the great pleasure to play with Derek in the mid 1990's. He is a great player, singer/songwriter and a great person. he was the voice of the Ted Nugent Band. My favorite singer of the 1970's...I feel lucky to have played drums for him.

Nice one Ray and Derek has great voice, Ted lost it when he pushed Derek, Rob Grange and Cliff Davies out, unfortunately I don't think we will get to see Derek in the UK 🇬🇧

St Holmes was so underrated. I glad to see he is finally getting some of the recognition he deserves.

St. Holmes is one of the biggest unsung guitar heroes of our generation. Providing vocals, songwriting and amazing guitar for Ted Nugent when he launched his solo career after the Amboy Dukes. Derek can hold his own, and in my opinion should be in the top 25 guitar players of all time.

It is really great to see and listen to musicians who can actually sing and really know how to play the guitar. Derek and the group do an excellent job. Very talented group of musicians. Hope to see many more vids. Thank you for the great music.

Derek is not known for his lead abilities (kind of rare to seem him play lead, whatsoever), but has to be in the top 5 for rhythm players. He is the voice and rhythm that made Ted Nugent, period.

Seen him live in '75 and back then Ted gave him a little more time to shine on the guitar. He was a very good lead player at that time and I'm sure he has only gotten better. Between his playing ability and that unbelievable voice, I think he really took the spotlight away from Ted. I also saw him with this band a couple years ago at Puckett's Boat House and was great. He played all of the lead guitar at that show.
