I have a good friend, I thought. A Lutheran pastor. Well trained in the word, some Greek, maybe apologetics and other seminary courses. He told me about a month ago that a true believer can loose their salvation. That was the last time I had seen my friend. I as Dr. Thomas also have many Holy bibles (everywhere). I attended a Lutheran church yet I was tuned toward R.C many years ago from another Baptist friend and became very familiar with Ligonier and many doctrines...Thank you all and always God first. The whole point of this is...Dr. Thomas talking about Nicodemus with all his knowledge yet not understanding. It struck a cord to say the least. Is it possible that even an ordained minister can fall into this category? Well, the answer has already been revealed. Very interesting. Great lesson as always. I can sure see it around me. And many times it was me..Thank you again

The summary of Romans 8 is this;those who follow their sinful desires will die and are condemned. However, those who live according to the Spirit and are to a high degree spiritually minded and live according to the Spirit live and are not under condemnation.

I found this sermon so defective. I agree that God will use all things for his glory, but this sermon just whitewashes over the suffering of God people to make it meaningless and uninspiring! So many Christians are forced into severe suffering. Their lives destroyed. These sermons make it seem that they are less of a Christian for suffering in their faith as why they are suffering for God. I don't like preachers that make light of the pain and suffering of Christians. To dismiss it as just going to work for God's glory doesn't help those that suffer. I also despise the attitude here. The "I know the secrets of God!" Completely untrue. None of us know the ways of God. They are higher than our ways. As a life long Christian, I have always hated the arrogance of the church. Their self righteous fake piety! Their our lives are better than others because we know the secrets of God and use them like a deck of cards in a spiritual game of holiness.
