The church courts have either settled the matter or are currently managing it or similar matter(s). The main problem with launching accusations is that there is a very specific way in which the Word prescribes for them to be launched. That is, if you have one to launch, then launching it anonymously isn't it. First and foremost, say it to his face, then if it's not taken as it should, you can take it to a church court. Otherwise, you're serving no good. Weighing the matter in the court of rowdy public opinion rather than a measured church court only serves that which the church stands against. No sense in sullying the right preaching of the Word by publicly launching ad hominem at the preacher. Well, I guess it does make sense. If the motive is less than genuine.

@@possumhunter1179 I'm curious.. did you google derek thomas and plagiarism? when the information is very public it's not like posting this is going to tarnish someone's good name, which of course would be wrong. As for church courts... I guess maybe you don't believe that men are depraved and willing to turn a blind eye to sin as it was committed by their friend. another case in point is Ed Litton. It's public knowledge what he did, yet he is still president. If you honestly think these men bring glory to God, then I guess I've misunderstood everything I've read about holiness and truthfulness. I appreciate what you said, but if you didn't actually google this to see how bad it is, maybe do that first? then you can tell me what you think of the good Dr. Thomas ripping of a boyhood story from another well known preacher. Disgusting is way to kind a word..

@@bradley8224 I'm aware of the matter. So, you've multiplied the issue. At first, essentially, your charge (in public) was that Dr. Thomas willfully broke (at least) the 8th and 9th commandments. You've added to your list of the accused entire church courts (presbyteries, sessions, et al). They now stand publicly accused by you of breaking (at least) the 9th commandment, insofar as you view their actions (if any, or perceived lack thereof) as unjust. Yet, you persist to do so in public, instead of addressing the matter(s) to each man personally, first. Mind you, if a church court is merciful in its ruling, then that is precisely the type of ruling that the Accuser of the Brethren cannot tolerate. The church isn't subject to the world. The brethren who live together in peace and forgiveness will do so, regardless of the amount of "flaming darts" launched at them. Have you examined the findings of the courts? What if the one primarily accused properly cited the matter in his written notes, yet the publishers editor made human error, and excluded it? Those are the types of questions to be settled by the church courts. In any case, Christ's people are called to be silent on the matter, and pray for wisdom to be granted to the elders - unless they are conscience-bound to bring charges personally and privately. I didn't write the rules that Jesus established for the peace and purity of the church. He did. Yet the Accuser always temps people to break them, and bring the matter before the world's court of public opinion - which is ultimately under the purview of a magistrate that is the Enemy. The Enemy's court has no jurisdiction, here.
