The auto rest function in the Macon, and as well as the cayenne It just blows some hot air from the engine into the car. Keeps the car warm for up to 20 minutes after you turn the ignition off - using residual heat from the engine. Useful if you're just sitting in the car, or want to come back to a warm car after popping into the shops etc.

Nice video. 21:10 - I don't think it steers you back it just warns you are departing the lane.

If you see a picture of the steering wheel it will steer you back (LKA lane keep assist), if there is no steering wheel photo it makes just makes noise.

What are the main (apart from price) differences between the base version of the Porsche Macan and the "T" version?

Basically the "T" is designed to be a lightweight sporty package with special Grey wheels, Grey side blade, available alcantara, dark trim with the standard motor. If you like the GTS theme and don't need all the horsepower it's a good one to check out.

First and foremost: this is, without question, THE BEST video detailing the essentials of the Porsche Macan. What an amazing job! You provided key information and unlike so many other videos, you didn't aim the camera lens on your face 95% of the time and endlessly chatter with words that don't "matter"....(there are sooooo many "look at me" videos). You aimed the camera lens WHERE IT MATTERS...You cover ALL the bases (and as this car does NOT have the cargo management system, you didn't cover that plus the ceiling hook connectors that I would imagine some/many owners notice but are likely to not know what they are) and that's okay because I don't think even 3% of buyers order that option! You provided ample detail without endlessly talking and repeating adjectives like "incredible", "amazing" or "fantastic" over and over...but rather wisely choosing words that are descriptive and that MATTER. When my S is delivered, it's going to take quite a bit of time to familiarize myself with all the options and controls...but I'll invest in that time. Your video was immensely helpful and any sales rep that wants to sell this car (especially for tech-minded customers) would be well-advised to suggest to prospective buyers to view this video. I would venture to say that you're quite excellent at selling Porsches. Kudos to you, and I hope (and am pretty certain) you are highly successful at it. Thanks again for a wonderful job!

Great video! Curious, if we were to recode the infotainment system to show Apple CarPlay full length across the screen would that void the warranty when it comes to the infotainment system? And secondly, if one day Porsche decides it makes sense to show it full screen rather than 2/3rds is it an over the air update or must be brought into the shop? Thank you.

I have wifi in my Macan. But there's no Sim card in the center console slot. Which makes me wonder where the other one is hiding?

@@DerekBonzagni My previous Macan GTS had ACC with LKA and LCA. But the one I have now has ACC and LCA but not LKA. Is it just a software activation code I have to buy and have it activated by a service technician by way of their PIWIS tool, like the Voice Control activation code I had performed on my previous one?

Macans only have apple carplay at this time, when the new updated Macan Electric comes out it will have the updated Cayenne interface with both. 2025 🔥

New Macan owner here and I did learn a lot from this video. Much more than my salesmen went over. You did skip over a couple of items I'm interested in such as on the "Brightness" adjustment, I have to assume the brightness adjustment is for the speedometor? or is the brightness adjustment for both the screens (dash and info screen)? I have adjusted it to 100% and I can not see any difference in brightness. The second thing is on the odometer reset button just below and on the left side, you say it's to reset the odometer but it also turns up and down the brightness level I believe. You just have to twist it a little bit.

Thank you for watching, yes the dimmer/odometer dial does what you described dimming the gauges. The screen goes dim when the light sensor determines it's dark. If I recall there is a display dimmer within the settings on the screen but I'll have to confirm where it is since I've never had to adjust it.
