That "diagnosed with terminal velocity" part is so subtly unsettling to me. Like you're not just mentally unwell, you're hurtling deeper and deeper into your depression.

I like how each song in this archive shows anger felt at different times at a person's life Tool is anger from your social life Cycle is anger from your hobbies Smile is anger from your work life And Headcase is anger from bad mental health, felt in your quiet moments
@Hamza2_7272 Жыл бұрын
actually so true
@okboomerbutitsacat805011 ай бұрын
this is the third interpretation I've seen and idk which I like more, this, them being categorized by who they're directed at in the cycle (tool - anger toward the people who make the cycle cycle - anger toward the cycle itself, smile - anger toward the people who are part of the cycle, headcase - anger toward yourself as a part of the cycle) or it being by different types of anger (tool- agressive, explosive anger cycle - passive, spiteful anger smile - subdued, silenced anger headcase - helpless anger)

This "apathetic rage" is such a great angle for your Anger Archive. And an absolute banger to boot.
@maxdragon5043 Жыл бұрын
I like how each of the four song in the "Anger Archive" represent a specific type of anger (At least they are to me): - Tool: Explosive/Obvious anger. The kind that I think we all know of. When somebody just snaps and goes off on somebody else/something. Most of the time we won't even notice it until it passes through us. - Cycle: Passive/Spite anger. The kind that is not as explosive and obvious as the above, but still drips through every words you say or every actions you take. (The entire song screams like a passive-aggressive rant to me, where the person is not directly addressing the issue, more so just throwing shades towards it) - Smile: Silence/Subdued anger: The kind that's even less visible compared to the two above, where you bottles up all your emotions and tension inside, only expressing it through your train of thoughts as opposed to physically or verbally. - Headcase: I'm actually not sure yet :v. But goddamn is it a bop like the others.
@a_puntato29 Жыл бұрын
definitely agree, and headcase to me seems like a sort of rebellious anger? like punching up at something unjust above/being done to you- in this case a misdiagnosis/assumption of sorts leading to people looking down on you my brain's not letting me word things well tonight, but hopefully you get my point :)
@nobody-rg3cc Жыл бұрын
To me headcase feels spiteful, but not in the way portrayed in Cycle but in a more hopeless way, anger against the world for being different and never belonging, though that's me
@icemouse9 Жыл бұрын
Headcase: Apathetic/Hopeless anger. The kind that sits and silently drowns the person feeling it. literally the line "a victim of the worlds relentless apathy.".

Lyrics: It's a fragile state of mind Like I'm losing sense of time And the world is moving on, while I am left behind It's a never-ending wait For a sign to change my fate Like I'll never reach the end of this forsaken chase So don't tell me there's no- no reason why There's no- no finish line No journey I'll enjoy along the way My feet stuck in the sand My heart left in my hand These symptoms taking hold won't go away They said that I'm a classic headcase Diagnosed with terminal velocity Just can't escape 'Cause I'm uninsured I'm a classic headcase A victim of the world's relentless apathy Bound to my fate And I can't be cured It's the stars I don't wish on (Wish on) It's the way I don't move on (Move on) And the constant thought, that one day we will all be gone It's the fleetingness of life Burning time and wasting nights Like I'm balanced on the edge, then plunging from the heights So don't tell me there's no- no reason why There's no- no finish line No journey I'll enjoy along the way My feet stuck in the sand My heart left in my hand These symptoms taking hold won't go away They said that I'm a classic headcase Diagnosed with terminal velocity Just can't escape 'Cause I'm uninsured I'm a classic headcase A victim of the world's relentless apathy Bound to my fate And I can't be cured And, oh, I'm running in the same place Going nowhere too fast (Oh, ooh, woah) And, oh, I'm burning 'neath the surface (Oh) And I know this won't last They said that I'm a classic headcase Diagnosed with terminal velocity Just can't escape 'Cause I'm uninsured I'm a classic headcase (Classic headcase) A victim of the world's relentless apathy Bound to my fate And I can't be cured

Another wonderful song, Derivakat is truly letting all the genres shine with her voice. Some of your songs really hit me hard with their themes and the words carefully picked, they feel like an embrace, a soft whisper of being lost and cursed by similar thoughts and experiences, not really knowing where's the exit from this madness nor how to find a better way to go about it, but at least knowing you're not alone. Keep going, you're doing amazing! Congratulations on your first EP, it sounds absolutely amazing. Shoutout to all the artists working on the videos, they're mesmerizing to look at, so much it always feels like I need to rewatch the MVs thrice: once for the first impact of the song, one for the lyrics, and one for the video itself.
