My friend's lips are like this and I think her lips are so beautiful. To me they look delicate and it's so pretty! Lips like she's talking about in the video are beautiful too, but it's just a different kind of beauty like how a rose and a lilly are super different but both pretty! I noticed at age 8 I had this issue of lip curling under when smiling. I used to sit in front of the mirror and train my lip to stay down while smiling (I was prepping cause I thought I was going to be a movie star 😅) 30 years later I still have the smile I want (but not the career 😂) . Moral of the story, train your muscles 😉.

I did a similar thing, at 10! I wanted to sleep on my side while cuddling my plushie, but then I couldn't breathe. So I taught myself to breathe out of the corner of my mouth, and now I can sleep mushed into my pillow, no problem... but I have a slightly crooked smile and my mouth forever curves a bit to that side 😅 so yes train your muscles, but beware the consequences!! Remember the old saying, "if you make that face you'll get stuck" 😏🤷

@@homiekeen23same way as u train any muscle. watch urself and practice training ur muscle to go exactly how u want it to look until its habit and becomes natural. i did this with my hands and certain kinds of smiles. it takes a longer time to train ur muscles the older u are so it might take a year or longer at ur current age.

A photo hack my wedding photographer told me is to smile your mouth closed and then move your lips apart from there, maintaining the smile and it helps your top lip from curling under. It works!

Singer and voice teacher here. DO NOT, i repeat, NOT do anything with injectables to your face if you are a singer, voice actor, narrator, or work in any other voice-reliant industry. I'm just wondering who is wasting time they could be living an actual life to gaze at their face for so long and in such minute detail that they know and care what their upper lip looks like in different expressions? The best thing you can do for your appearance is to use sunscreen, read books, meet people from all walks of life so that you can actually see.other people and recognize their individuality and unique beauty. Nothing is more attractive than a well.educated, warm and open person who is happy in their own skin.

Having insecurities and not liking the way something looks doesn't mean you can't do those things, neither does changing a minor detail to boost your confidence. Would you judge or say the same to someone for getting a haircut because they didn't like how their hair previously looked, or styling their hair in a certain way they like?

We definitely have too much time on our hands. I keep thinking how industrialization and instant clothes and instant food and instant water have changed life. Women would have to stay home and milk cows and raise chickens and haul water and grow gardens and sew clothes and make actual food if it wasn't for modern conveniences. If you have a filler in your upper lipp, make sure it's done by someone who really know what is doing. I mean by that, explain you do not want ridiculous and ugly "duck lipp". Make sure that person understand that. Be precise, be specific and tell what you don't want. At the end of my fifty year's of age, I ask for a filler (with the age our lipps are coming more flat, they loose volume). It was very well done. They were enormous for few days, it was a normal reaction. I was really afraid but they told me this from the beginning. After that they were ok. I didn't want to go out for few days. After aprx one week, everything was ok.

I naturally have a smile where my lip doesn’t flip, and I’ve had people comment positively on it before but I never realized this is a cosmetic procedure people get done. It’s insane to me how detailed things have gotten towards “facial aesthetics”. Things that the average person doesn’t notice, you know there is someone somewhere obsessing about changing it on themselves. There’s a reason I no longer show my face online. I’m damn well tired of y’all hyper analyzing everyone’s faces based on some boring ass “golden ratio”. By following these standards all y’all are doing is advocating for everyone to look the same. Then once too many people fit that standards y’all will flip it. When you seek to fit these standards I promise you will *never* be satisfied. Beauty standards have been set up so you will never consistently measure up to them, and if your entire life surrounds them then I pity you. I don’t follow this woman, and never will, but if you do then please double check your priorities in life because obsessively focusing on your physical appearance is an inevitable losing battle and those influencers will not give a crap at the end of the day. focus on your spiritual eternity and the health of your character. a beautiful woman with a rancid personality is worth nothing (Proverbs 11:22)

If it's any consultation I have always absolutely loved smiles like that. I remember one of my friends growing up had crooked teeth and something about her smile felt so pure compared to "perfect" smiles. I also completely understand not liking it on yourself because I had a palate expander as a little girl to "fix" my smile because I was very self conscious about my front teeth crossing. Part of me wishes I had never done that because looking back I was adorable and in no way had to be perfect!

I haven’t done either but I think lip filler can look good when it’s done moderately. If you can’t see someone has lip filler, it’s done well. I know 2 women who got small lip fillers and I wouldn’t notice it if they didn’t tell me.

What I find works for me to sort of train myself ig and make sure the upper lip still shows when smiling is to start off smiling like you’re trying hard not to smile at first, but then gradually show your teeth from there into the smile size you want.
