Редкий случай, когда мне сразу же захотелось подписаться. Похоже, что появился новый перспективный видеоблогер из Южной Африки - и судя по всему, будет интересно последовать за ним дальше по тому пути, по которому многие из нас уже не один раз прошли. С кем его проходить в очередной раз - совсем не всё равно. Этому парню явно есть, что сказать; и он умеет ясно и привлекательно выражать свои мысли и ощущения. А главное - он самым явным образом уже вовлечён в этот уникальный и прекрасный мир, нам хорошо знакомый, почти уже привычный. Он сразу почувствовал и странную, захватывающую красоту этого мира, и его сильную непохожесть на всё остальное, с чем он хорошо знаком в огромном пространстве современной музыки. Что ж, будем ждать следующих роликов, чтобы вновь пройти по хорошо изведанным тропинкам с целью ещё раз взглянуть на всё это другими глазами и, возможно, услышать что-то ещё не сказанное. I really enjoyed your reaction of Diana. I though you explained it really well and you seem to be in aw and enjoying her performance. Sadly, Diana hasn’t hasn’t an easy start in life. Her own biological mother, when she had multiple miscarriages and failed pregnancies, abused her with the intend to kill her (she tried to choke, drown, and suffocate her by sitting on her). At the age of three she was abandoned at a bus stop with a broken collarbone in the freezing cold. One of the biological family members found her and brought her to safety. Unfortunately her biological family couldn’t or didn’t want her because they thought she was mentally retarted. So she was send to an orphanage. When she was aroun four and a half years old she met her adoptive mom who was a physical masseuse at the orphanage. She called her adoptive mom her real mom and her adoptive family took her in (her sister begged her motherhood take her). She sang at the age of five because she had some speech difficulties. And she won a LOT of singing competitions. She is described to be a dramatic contralto and a polyphonic voice. She can also manipulate her voice to the point (example Bloody Mary that she did at the show the masked singer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqPNiXqHhJWqp68. And yes! She was thought the basics of opera and she can yodel. There is a lot to explore with Diana! It’s a singing competition for children that had a difficulty upbringing. She won both competitions and the last song on the playlist is her own song. The show is about other artists of Russia preform and judges each other performances. Diana also won this competition. All the songs of the mask singer. Since episode 6 she was asked from the production of the show to use her natural unique voice to sing from this episode onward. She didn’t win this show. " ... и так после каждой услышанной песни .... причём каждой песни с 10-ти летнего возраста Дианы . For the ordinary listener, the most phenomenal and amazing thing is that after almost every Diana song, the same phrase comes to mind - "Wow ...! This is my favorite song .... !!! " ... and so after every .... song I hear. and every song since Diana was 10 years old.

Thanks for reacting to Diana, my favorite singer. Her rendition of a Russian folk song called “RECHENKA” is outstanding for a 14 year old. Also her version of “Wicked Game” is truly beautiful. Another song called “Crow”, a 90’s pop song, is truly spectacular. Recently, her performance of “Day You” is outstanding. It shows her progression with her upper range.Thanks

I've followed Diana for half a decade and her voice never gets old and I find it quite addicting. Before you venture into some of her latest brilliant original work perhaps you should view a couple of performances that put her on the Western map. In this same time period (of this song) she had a few videos go viral, Wicked Game, Human, Rechenka and Derniere Danse. These performances on the TV show You Are Super captured the imagination of people outside of Russia. Wicked Game is a cover in the same manner of what Diana did to Can't Help Falling In Love...it's a brilliant, dark, creepy (in the best possible way), tribal masterpiece. Human is an exploration in her lower register...another brilliant twist on a cover song that almost turns it into a Western piece. Rechenka is a world class performance art piece. It's a masterpiece...a modern folk construct brought to life by a 14 year old superstar way beyond her years. If you want to go way back check out Diana's cover of the Beatles Oh Darling live at a Radio station at 10 years old. You can hear her deep, powerful voice and her amazing tone and vocal color way, way beyond her years...I really enjoyed your commentary and it's obvious you understand what you are listening to. I have most of Diana's most important work as well as some of her most obscure videos in a few of my playlists...most of them come from Diana's official KZbin channel. Her dark tone during the first part matches the feelings in the lyrics, alone in Paris after someone is gone. After the break, the lyrics change to brighter thoughts and emotions as the lyrics become courageous and accepting. As always for Diana, a brilliant immersion and interpretation of the lyrics and the music.

It is indeed a French song, released by the artist Indila in 2013. The original music video actually has over a billion views. I think what makes the song so interesting is that the music is very upbeat (as you said), but the lyrics are not. Here’s a translation of the chorus from Google: Je remue le ciel, le jour, la nuit (I move the sky, day, night) Je danse avec le vent, la pluie (I dance with the wind, the rain) Un peu d'amour, un brin de miel (A little love, a bit of honey) Et je danse, danse, danse, danse, danse, danse, danse (And I dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance) Et dans le bruit, je cours et j’ai peur (And in the noise, I run and I’m afraid) Est-ce mon tour? You could explore more of her recent music if you’re curious to hear her now at age 20. Or you could continue by reviewing her most iconic performances…with Diana, it doesn’t reallyyy matter where you go because she’s just fascinating in general

She sang French at age 13. We all agree that Voice Kids Russia was rigged and they refused to turn around for her "Yodel Time", while asked her to sing a second song. It was probably Edith Piaf. Else. Being South African, and not arriving to Amira Willighagen yet, who is half S A, and regularly performs there, is a bit of a surprise. Maybe later.

Great reaction, Joshua! This is one of my favorite songs that she performs, but this is not my favorite performance of it by her. But your comments are absolutely spot on. And YES, I would be interested in hearing your take on why artists like those you mentioned don't have more followers and fame than they do. I truly enjoyed your reaction to Diana. I would like to recommend Rechenka for your next foray into this wonderful singer. There is another singer that I would like to suggest. .Rhiannon Giddens. I would recommend You Louisiana Man as your first look at this singer. She has a superlative voice. Very few reactors have had her on their channels although I don't know why. I believe the type of music that she sings is called Americana.

"Romeo & Juliet" "Winter Without Snow" "I Go Into Myself" "With A Clean Slate" "Like A Waterfall" "Revelation" "Next To You" "Duduk" "Happiness" "As Your Voice" "Wave" "I Call You Russia" "Into The Sky" I would say, that she's very diverse and doesn't like to remain in one genre. "

If I remember correctly, she has written the lyrics to 4 of her own songs: Откровение (“Revelation”; July 2022), Рядом ты (“Next to You”, August 2022), Ушла в себя (“I Went Into Myself”, March 2023), and most recently Остались (“We Remained”, November 2023). She did not compose the music for Рядом ты, so it’s just her lyrics. The other songs were her own compositions but the arrangements were made by others. Though she has said recently that she is learning how to make arrangements by herself. Apparently there are plans to release a bunch of self-written songs this year, either as an album or as singles, but I don’t remember the details on that so I guess we’ll see what happens

If i remember correctly the original artist of this song is also the songwriter and she's a French artist called Indilla and she's not a contralto but an alto and the official music video is stunning I found Indilla because of Diana and recommend checking the original artist she's pretty cool

Thank you for not listening to her ONE time, stating as fact that she is autotuning/adding sounds to her voice, and then adding that it's not your type of music anyway lol. Diana released a new song this week, a duet with Brandon Stone called "The Day You..." She's really grown up & been working on her high register, so it was stunning to hear her hit a D6! While this performance is of course very fine, and you've given it 12/10(!), all things considered I wouldn't put it in the top 50 of a ranking of Diana's videos. Diana's voice is only dark and haunting when, as interpreted by her, the song requires it to be so. Several of her very greatest performances are light and upbeat! Three absolute masterpieces that come to mind, and that are posted on her main channel, are Into the Sky What a Wonderful World Side by Side All three are her own music videos and so only the normal copyright rules apply. If you react to them, the copyright/blocking issues that arise for videos of her performance on TV (which can be avoided by using a visual filter leaving the audio untouched) won't arise.
