I feel bad for henry since he doesn't have the opportunity to prove himself since he is behind Murray who is arguably a top 5 back at the moment. Ezekiel landed in a good situation, no solid RB starter and a good o-line.

@GuessTech
@GuessTech 7 жыл бұрын
This is actually not true of Henry. Henry is faster than 99% of players over 100 yards -- He doesn't get to his top end speed till 40+ yards. They've examined his stride length and top speed and basically compared to your 'proto' back like Zeke with short legs/stride - Zeke must take 3 steps for Henry's 2 running at an equivalent speed. Given Henry is 245+ lbs of very lean muscle combined with his genetic gift(s) of power/speed/stamina he is able to propel his frame faster the longer the distance traveled. It wouldn't be a MASSIVE difference of 10+ yards but Henry outruns entire defenses due to this. If you watch his film from college you'll see this huge , tall, HB looking relatively slow until he is contrasted with 7 guys chasing him and it's apparent he is outrunning them all. Some guys have pure speed and are genetically gifted beyond even the NFL norm and could still catch Henry. IE: Adoree Jackson is an amazing sprinter short or long and will chase down people. That said, this brings in Henry's strength/size and height which lends itself to making it incredibly tough to tackle and bring down henry one on one as well as given his height his arm length is going to be greater than most any CB/SS/FS etc and Henry is one of the best with the Stiff Arm already. I'm not saying Henry is the fastest guy in the league, not by any measure.. just that his 'top gear' is faster than it looks and faster than most in the NFL.
@johnalred6086
@johnalred6086 6 жыл бұрын
Also, GuessTech, since you've posted this I'm pretty sure they did an MPH test and Henry came in third behind fournette and one other (name escapes me because alcohol). Derrick Henry posted approx. 21 mph. That's insane for someone of his build in my opinion.
