Yeah, Rose straight stampeded Kyrie this game (pun intended). Had him shook. Outscored him 27-8 by halftime. You could see LeBron trying to set him up for some points and encourage him to keep shooting. He went on a 10-15 spurt to get his point total up while Rose was out for most of the 3rd.

Apparently his shooting was terrible during USA basketball because he was jumping too high on his jump shots(what a good problem to have lol). It looks like he's gotten better at gauging his jump. You can see when those hops came in handy from deep, especially late game, defenders in the face, etc.

sad to say but i think the knee injury has helped him learn how to utilize his body better much better body control going to the hoop and now he just doesnt use all speed all the time but does it in spurts which is lethal

I agree, Irving has better "handles", but Rose is just faster. Only reason Irving got 28 was because Rose went to the bench. If you watch the NBA highlight, 1/2 of Irving's highlights were against Brooks. Can't wait to see them both towards the playoff season, or even the regular season.

Rose only played less minutes because Thibs wanted to see how the rooks and new team members handled the deficit. We all know that in the reggie season Rose will play 30 minutes minimum where if he was in this same situation, he would have easily scored 40+ points.

LOL Kyrie got murdered. DRose 30 points in 24 minutes Kyrie 28 points in 38 minutes. Kyrie scored 13 points in the 13 minutes Rose was sitting at the bench in the second half lol. Kyrie most overrated PG in the league. I would take Rose, Westbrook, Paul, Curry, Parker, Wall, Lillard, Rondo, Thomas over him.

Jay Choi drose biggest problem is staying healthy. Head to head against other elite pg's, he usually outplays other them. If he can maintain his health, he is a much better player than kyrie from an athletic and leadership aspect.

I think the way he lands after dunks, floaters, etc. have caused the most knee damage. It seems like he lands on both feet at the same time which means a harder landing. He showed start landing with a quick 1-2 landing to prevent further injury...

But, neither are as dominant as Drose even in mild health. Derrick Demands so much attention that he can create chances for his teammates, and at any moment can put the ball in the basket. Derrick is LETHAL. The only person that comes within his range of athleticism is Russell. Overall a healthy Rose is the best Point Guard in the league.

Why is it that the players today so easily get away with traveling? The layup at 1:06 is clearly a travel, yet no one cares to point that out. Another player who regularly travels is Lebron. I know these explosive layups and dunks by players like Lebron and Derrick Rose make for great ESPN highlight reels, but what about the fundamentals? The fact that the referees, commentators, and analysts choose to ignore such things is really sad.

D.ROSE locks kyrie on Defense too. Irving never had a big offensive night with Rose actually guarding him. Look at last years match up, Kyrie only scored 2 points with Rose actually guarding him, and Irving had to push off Rose on that play to create space.

Stats indicates that the first 3 years of Kyrie is better than first 3 yrs of Rose and CP3. It also indicate that CP3 is better than Rose or Kyrie at the moment 2013-2014 season to say the least. Rose hasn't played much is the last year and a half so still too soon to say. Whether Rose is better than Kyrie or CP3 or Curry, u just need to look up the stats. CP3 is somehow so much better at assists than any one else.
