Uma is actually a really good person and she cares more about the aisle of the Lost more than Mal ever did in the prequel books and all the movies. That’s because Uma is not a villain. She cared about the people on the Isle and all she wanted was for the others to have a chance. She was upset that Mal out of all people got chosen especially regarding their history with eachother and Mal was the most disliked person on the Isle.

Descendants 2 was a great movie, I liked all the truly epic action: the sword fight, and the final battle between Uma in her half-octopus form and Mal as dragon, and I did find it very brave when Ben, being the king, jumps into the sea ​​to stop the battle looking for a more peaceful way, and I also liked the songs of course: Space Between and You and me.. But something that caught my attention was when Mal dees cast her cooking spell, it was that showed she had made an effort to actually make the picnic as much as she could without magic, but she did the spell just so to not to disappoint him.

Uma is played by China Anna McClain from the Disney channel show A.N.T. Farm. She sang a lot of great songs in the show. Calling All the Monsters is a great one to listen to.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say that with Harry Hook and Uma, Disney was actually giving us a demonstration of the 'holding him at arms length' tactic. You know, the 'give him a kiss or a peek at something and then pushes him back to keep him gagging for it so he'll do whatever she tells him to' tactic. If she is, I don't know how much longer she'll be able to keep him there.

Apparently Harry tried to get the same crocodile that bit his fathers hand off to bite his hand off, but the crocodile just ignored him so he carries it around as the next best thing. I get the feeling he and his dad aren't that close - can you imagine Captain Hook liking any young boy after all his run-ins with Peter Pan? Plus, Harry is just as mischevious as Peter.

Rule of the Isle - don't let Harry Hook anywhere near the liquor cabinet. Rule of Auradon - don't let Harry Hook anywhere near anything with caffeine in it. I mean even when he's sober and caffeine free he's already on the verge of bouncing off the walls.

Astonishing reaction!!! You’ve just witness the powerful vocals of Uma daughter of Ursula the Sea Witch played by China Anne McLain. Now while you might be questioning Uma’s motives in the end credit scene, she did have point about the isle. Their parents made their choice, and the VKs got punished for it. As Ben said it perfectly that she’s just an angry girl with a bad plan. And the she’s no different than when Mal came to Auradon. The truth is that Uma only wants fairness for the VKs, for them to have the chance to become something better in Auradon. I really can’t wait for Descendants 3!!! 📖🐚🏰🏴‍☠️🐲🐙⚔️💜 💙💛❤️🩵🖤🧡💚🤎

28:32 They're not villains. They're the children of villains. They're children and teenagers who were basically brought up in the slums raised by parents who (mostly) didn't care about them. They feel like the worlds against them and are either trying to get revenge against those they hold responsible for putting them there, or are trying to prove themselves to their parents to win their love (in Mal's case) or even just their acknowledgement (in Uma's case - Mal tried to convince herself that her mother does love her in the first movie and felt like she had to prove herself to get it or to win it, Uma knows her mother doesn't care about her but I still think wants to prove herself as a way of saying to her mother 'look at me' or 'see, you were wrong, I'm not a weakling, look at all I've done!'). They're not villains, they're just angry.

If you want actually good Disney Channel Original movies look for: Phineas and Ferb Across the Second Dimension, The original Under Wraps (1997), Proud Family Movie, Kim Possible A Sitch In Time and So the Drama, Tangled Before Ever After, Don't Look Under the Bed, And Jett Jackson the movie.

Alternative way Ben and Mal's argument could've gone: Ben has just caught Mal with sufficient evidence to think she's been abusing magic... Mal: Ben, I'll be honest. I lost track of time, and when I tried to make our special picnic happen, I burned every single thing. I didn't want to ruin our date, though. I'm sorry. Ben: Why not just tell me? I would've understood... Mal: The truth is, it's a lot of pressure. I know you're having a rough time stepping into your father's shoes. It's just... Sometimes, I worry I'm going to fill my mother's, whether I want to or not. And trying to keep up the image of the "lady of the court," when I'm really just a villain kid from the wrong side of the barrier... I feel like a fraud, and like I'm just waiting for everyone to see right through me. Ben: Mal, I... I didn't realize how hard this whole situation was for you. But know this: you are *not* a fraud, you are *not* your mother, and I love you. Court Lady or not, you are my one and only.

Before the third movie you should watch the short film between this movie and the third one, it's called Descendants 2.5: Under the Sea, it's basically a music video and it's not much but it adds something to the plot of the third movie, after the third one it's the animated movie that also counts as part of the descendants saga, I won't mention what it's called because it's a spoiler 🤭🤭🤭🤭

I know Gil doesn't look like Gaston, but I think the explanation behind that is that he takes after his mother who is one of the blonde, brown-eyed triplets that are always fawning over Gaston. I know he's supposed to have two older brothers (Gaston Jnr and Gaston the third or something dumb like that - what a surprise that Gaston has no imagination over names), so a bit of me still think that Gaston had a fling with all three sister and they're the respective mothers of each of his three sons, so they're half brothers and half cousins. Again what a surprise that Gaston wouldn't think to use protection.

This is a pretty good sequel, although the one thing that did bug me about this movie was Mal’s hair. In the first third it was Dove Cameron’s regular blonde hair (at the time), then in the second third it was straight purple hair, and in the last third it’s curly purple hair. I’m just like, “can you please just pick a hairstyle and stick with it?”. 😅

23:00 he’s supposed to be Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast. I really like how when he reveals the stained glass he makes sure to point out that Mal is Ben’s girl not Uma. 27:50 when I saw this part the thought in my head was if Ben turns into a beast I’m done with the movie. The dragon and octopus was kinda pushing it. 30:05 I’d hate to have been the safety person on this set with this dance scene. It’s really cool looking but easy to hurt someone.
