Descending the wild roads of Madeira, Portugal | First ride on the 2023 SCOTT Foil

I spent a week in Madeira testing out the 2023 Scott Foil. This is an all out aero bike but it handles as well as any bike out there. I can't say enough good things about this bike or the riding in Madeira. There are so many incredible roads with outrageous elevation all over the island. This is the first in a series of films from Madeira.

It is inevitable if you are a heavy rider. You bend the front wheel and steering while applying force. The space between the disc and the jaws is just to small + you have friction deformation.

Pretty stupid from him not to stop because the car was on the road before the rider was visible means you are not able to make the driver of the car responsible if you crash the car because your right of way is gone if you would be able to brake down and someone is on the street way before they can see you.

This is insane. I went to Madeira last October and I would not dare to take my bike on open roads, especially when there's cars involved too. People drive their cars down and uphill like crazy....didn't see anybody on a road bike in 10 days on the island. Amazing place though! And breathtaking video. 🔥🔥
