I've had this rose since last year. It's been blooming all the time. In fact, right now it has flowers after a lot of days with frost and freezing fog! It's astonishing; I really love this rose! And she smells so good. Greetings from Spain

I had mines in a pot (2qt own root) and ever since planting it in the ground, its leaves are exceptionally dark green. Can’t wait to see it bloom later this year. 😊❤ Zone 9B TX.

YAY, I'm glad....I'm always curious how the name of the rose is determined and it seemed like such a sweet classic story.

Placed my first DA order this year I have Desdemona, Queen of Sweden, and Scepter’d Isle coming this spring-can’t wait!!!

Awesome!!! I think David Austin should update their photo of scepter because it looks SO MUCH better in person then on their website. This year I added 2 Princess Ann and Emily Brontë. I also got two earth angels 😀

I have a Desdemona rose that’s a year old and no way does it look like yours!! It was a bare root and it actually is a replacement because another, it was a Gertrude Jekyll, died. It never even took off. David Austin replaced it. My Desdemona is putting on new growth, two little roses, but it’s puny compared to yours! I fertilized this spring. What’s your secret? I so wanted a spectacular rose!!
@intheglenn Жыл бұрын
Wow I’m sorry. Maybe try putting it into a pot. That way you can control things. Give it morning sun and afternoon shade if you are in a hot climate. Keep it well watered when the soil drys out and fertilize monthly. I’m sure your Desdemona will look amazing. If you want to keep it in the same spot then something is off. Roses are not fussy. Either too much or to little water. Give it 6 hours of sun. If your soil is poor then dig up the rose and add a couple large compost bags and mix it in. Then replant. Hope this helps 😀

Green acres has some non David Austin roses that are great. Princess Charlene of Monaco and earth angel were at Folsom over the weekend. High recommend both.

@@intheglenn I just called the Folsom store and they said the David Austin was not delivering them anything this year to them. Were they holdovers from last year??

@@intheglenn Id rather see them in person but, that seem like its the only option. High Hand does not have them either.
