Agree that a different plane might have been more interesting, BUT, the man's gotta go with his passion, and that passion is obviously the B-17! If I had the money to build a plane from scratch it would be a very "common" one, the P-51 Mustang. It's my favorite without compare & a dream to fly & own one someday.

Wow! I was like him when I was a kid. When nobody would let me play with their toys, I made my own toys. I can't believe he is making his own B-17 though. I would like see it when it's done.

Maybe you can start your project on building a B-29 a new trend on cloning old war planes. Make sure you have at least 29 mil in the bank ready to use. Yeah it would be nice too see someone building a off the scale very rare plane like the B-29 but this video is great too.
