The richest country in the world and teachers all around the country have to "reach into their own pockets" to provide for their students. Meanwhile, Hillsborough county has not received any Lottery money from the state lottery funds for two (2) years now but law enforcement received a 5% pay raise July 1, 2022 instead of another pandemic bonus. Now that there is a HUGE teacher shortage, they finally try to raise the salaries of teachers. This Republican led state does not value education at all and is more concerned with getting involved with identity politics than serving their constituents. I guess that is easier than doing the job they were elected to do.

This is what we need to do to help our education system is at least budget for supplies i cant believe this country is so cheap for school supplies but they have money for wars and can’t feed the poor
