I used FreeCAD Gear Workbench to design a set of miter gears and I 3D printed them
First part of the video is understanding pitch circles and apex, the relation and their respective positions in a combination of 3D sketches
Once you understand the design, it will allow you to do any ratio at any angle.

Then I create gears and placed them so they mesh at a 90 degree angle
Next, I recreate a similar gear as the one I made in Fusion and trim it using a boolean operation with a tool body
Finally I increase the size of the generated gear to get the result I wanted
