The "animated" story boards were absolutely amazing. Thank you and your team for sharing this

Ok, I've been watching for years, but don't usually log in and comment. This was amazing. I didn't expect you to actually to show the edits at 34:04.

I very much appreciate it. Story boarding is difficult for me because my ideas come very rapidly. I find it very difficult to get my ideas on paper fast enough. I tend to get distracted (slowed down) with the details; my true vision rarely makes it to final. Thank you so much for your professional help. IT is truly priceless. P.S. You are the man. You are helping so many of us. Keep up the great work. (please) Obviously I'm speaking from an animation creation/design sense. Not trying to visualize someone else's ideas, just trying to have fun and create my own. Thanks again!!!

Hey just a shout out to Feng Zhu and his Team. All this time you put behind your videos in Design Cinema is amazing. I've watched so many of them as I'm sure lots of people have. Its great to see what you and your staff do to help not only your students, but everyone else. Thank you, its inspiring at great to see.

thank you so much for this! A true insight into what we really need to know about the industry. And, of course, so beautifully delivered. No where else do we get such pinpoint info regarding backstage goings on. So, thank you very much! I've worked in the film industry and considered story boarding , and so it is priceless to see an example of real-world example of work done and work need. Many thanks!

This was a very nice episode. I work alone as a storyboard artist in Norway. So for me it was very interesting to see your pipeline where many people was involved. Very inspiring and helpful. I have actually used zbrush in a very similar way to the way u used sketch up in your example. I have also used the 3d function in photoshop to import car models. I am picking up sketch up again:) Again, thank u so much for this episode.

Just wanted to go on the record and say I really loved this series. I'm an art director and aspiring Storyboard Artist and this was an incredible real look into the creative process, production timeline, and way more than I could have imagined. KZbin really lacks a library of storyboarding resources and this is now at the top of that short list for me. Thank you again, Feng! Please extend my gratitude to the entire team that worked on this as well.

This is so serendipitous. I've just been getting more into storyboarding and doing more research about it this week.. and now this video suddenly comes out. Awesome!
@orux1007 жыл бұрын
three things: 1. when he mentions that storyboard is locked, it means that no changes can be made, if i am not mistaking. 2. If you will continue this it would be awesome if you could film some behind the scenes (like meetings with team, some glimpse of them drawing or using sketchup ), if it's not too stressfull; 3. It's purely amazing!

I think this may end up being my favourite series from FZD videos, and I have watched all of them XD this really helped me think about how you would develop the ideas and no my brain has me thinking about practising "movie" openings to get better at developing camera angle shots, perspective as well as getting more out of my thumbnail thoughts. thanks! can't wait to see more!

You completely changed my view of storyboarding, those were amazing. Its also good to know how much 3d is used especially for hard surface, I had no clue.

I just wanted to comment to say I appreciate the effort you guys put into these. I really liked the cleaned up storyboards for both but the "I Am Legend" ones were really cool and graphic. It is really kind of you to share this process for free.

Oh god yesterday I was thinking about a cool story and animation that I wanted to try, and that it would be cool to make a storyboard for it, but I didn't know how. I was going to search tutorials and stuff soon, the timing on this couldn't be more perfect for me! Thanks!

This is amazing, thank you FZ! I use Sketchup for my storyboards a lot, specially when doing complex scenes with cars & buildings. I can draw that stuff but Sketchup makes it so much faster and I am able to be flexible and choose the best angles. I love the mix of pretty finished drawing with simple shading. Something to consider for my own work.
