Detailed Steps of Axially Loaded Circular Column has been explained, the column is short circular column which is axially loaded and is solved by considering minimum eccentricity as per codal provisions of IS 456-2000 which is 20mm along with design of lateral ties.

While finding area of reinforcement total cross sectional area of column having 422.48 mm diameter have been used instead of 425 mm. For 425 mm diameter column number of bars will come out to be 7.055. Hence, we have to place 8 bars instead of 7.

Sir in general which reinforcmnt are better for circular column.. Lateral or helical???

Dear sir, you explained really well.... But for circular column when we use helical reinforcement formula, and at the starting of the numerical you said that there is difference is designing for circular column but this numerical is same as reactangular column.. I am just confused, could you please explain sir....

sir but 7 no of reinforcement bar will be not balanced one.so we should take 8 no of bars

Excuse me sir,, in case of finding out the 'Asc' you had consider the 'A' as the required....but as you increase the 'D' so why not u considered that one in case of finding out the 'Asc'??

We are glad our lectures are helpful to you, You can select any diameter but as per code minimum diameter of longitudinal bar is 12mm

sir is 456 pg 49 states that the diameter of lateral ties should be no less than 16 mm then why are we using 6mm diameter bars here?

That formula is for helical reinforcement and thats a different problem

After getting D = 425mm. Why not using new Ag= pi/4×425^2= 141862.5. You are doing too much mistakes. Im unsubscribing ur channel
