If your Shell feature is not working it is because of the part of the bucket sketch that connects to the origin. When revolved, it forms a point that SolidWorks cannot negotiate. Your Shell feature is working though. At 3:37 do not select a face. Just click the green check. If you do a cross section view you can see that it is indeed shelled but the top face won't be removed. There are many ways you can remove the top face. Click on it and start a new sketch. Then click the outside profile of the bucket, convert entities, and extrude cut downwards into the bucket. OR click on the top face and start a new sketch, draw a big rectangle and extrude cut downwards into the box. OR just edit the very first bucket sketch so that there is a small perpendicular line to the very first vertical line. This will make it so that there is no sharp point formed. I can think of at least 3 more ways to solve this problem but these are the most basic. Alternatively, someone else offered a suggestion in one of the other comments to use a Fillet. This might be a simple solution but I haven't tried it!

When I want to do shell its showing me error that "The shell operation failed to complete. One of the faces may offset into an adjacent face, a small face my need to be eliminated, or one of the faces may have a radius or curvature which is smaller than the shell thickness. I followed all the dimension properly, but still it is showing me this error. Please help me to eliminate it. Thanks

This may be a bit too late for everyone other than any future people but adding a fillet of 1.8mm to the edges of face 1 has fixed the issue to me.... frankly the turbine does look smoother now. The issue was the 4 sharpo edges on the piece which resulted in a rounding pattern smaller than it will allow so the prevent this you round the area.

You make a lot of mistakes in your Pelton bucket design. Leaving the splitter in place. The biggest problem is creating a cutout. Cutout should be rotational rather than radial. Turning is used in production

You’re right, this was actually my 2nd design in SolidWorks. It was made more than a year ago for a design course in the university when I didn’t have much experience in SolidWorks. Thank you for pointing that.

@@nourk.al-zamel5217 Its normal that this Pelton turbin will be not perfect. Its not a construction office of pelton turbine but youtube trial. But this trial helps a lot to create turbine with more elementary details. Best regards
