Please advise whether we should add the weight of backfilled soil and the weight of the RCC column and base foundation to determine the area of Footing? secondly, to determine the bending moment, stresses and the reinforcement steel area in the column shall we only consider the actual equipment load on the RCC column and the weight of the column itself and exclude the weight of the soil?
