This has been the most helpful training on how to Use Access that I have come across. I have done the prior 6 before this and I hope there are others to follow. Thank you for this training, It is very much appreciated. My end result is to learn SQL to hopefully change careers to a Database Administrator but and I wanted to take the long route on understanding Databases before I went into SQL. Thanks again! Note: I am finding this training at the end of 2019 and it is still useful with access (with a 2018 update)

Hi thank you for the videos, I am learning so much! When I try to run the report, I keep getting run-time error 3051 I did some research and supposedly is because of the read-only attribute in the folder but when I try to deactivate it, it goes back to read-only even after I click apply and OK, any advice? :) THANK YOU

Another user posted the same error so now I am wondering why the error is occurring. Is this a work computer or your home computer? Are you logged in as the admin?

Hi thank you for tutorials. I had the same error 3051, but changing the browse instead of C i could have the export file. Something like "DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel12, "EOD_Report", "F:\MECBD\REPORTS", True".

@@designanddeploy5991 I can't make this work either. I am using my home computer, and I'm logged in as the admin. Since this is my home computer, (only one monitor), I even fired up my ancient laptop so that I could view the class on it while following your instructions on my desktop instead of tiling windows. Followed your instructions to the letter, and still got 3051 error.

Hi great series of videos.When i try to export reports on my computer( when i click on the button.) I keep getting run-time error 3051.I have tried it on a laptop and still get same error any ideas?Thanks

Not sure. Maybe the VB code is pointing to an invalid location? Can you post the line of code here or email it to me?

Wish I had one to recommend but my learning of VB has been piecemeal. So I learned it from here there and everywhere.

I'm also experiencing error 3051. This is what I had written in VBA: DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel12, "EOD_Report", "E:\Access", True I've spent quite a bit of time looking for a fix but can't seem to find one. I've made sure to uncheck the "read only" box on the folder however that doesn't seem to do anything. I'm also signed into my pc as administrator granting myself full permissions(on windows 10 btw).I've tried a dozen different locations as well. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks again for the videos they have been super helpful.

I had the same error, my mistake was at the directory you need the drive in my case "C:\users\NAME OF USER\Documents\FOLDER TO SAVE FILE\ NAME YOU WANT FOR THE EXCEL FILE" that how my worked

Also when I type in the code, the pop up list does not show City so I'm confused. Please help me
