This pedal is incredible. Through my Strat and my es-335. Want to mention it stacks, cleans up, and does your laundry. The price point is amazing... there’s just no way any other OD pedal is this good a value. And if you’re lucky enough to have a p2p/hand wired amp ? You might have to sit down, it sounds so good. Peace to Dayton and Ohio

I got the Plumes the day it was released... I was reluctant to get yet another TS style pedal, but when I read up on it, it seemed like it ticked all the boxes for me... Within 10 min after plugging it in, it became my main overdrive and has been since. In my opinion, there is no better 808 style pedal out there. You seriously nailed it with this one.

I’ve had many, many TS variants. The TS808HW was as close to my perfect TS as I thought I’d get until this one. The Plumes fixes all the “issues” I have with the circuit. Much clearer, but still very much mid forward. Such a great pedal, especially for the price.

Damn dude...a registered trademark 808. Those things are stupid expensive nowadays. By the way, you guys make my favorite tube screamer mods. Still love the ts-9 and 808, love the king of tone for a “main drive” sound. But the earthquaker 808 mods are my go-to in that realm. The plumes is spot on and the palisades is otherworldly. You guys just seem to *know* what this circuit is capable of, on an instinctual level.

Loving it. I already have a Dunes though - what order would you recommend stacking them? Which would you use with the gain rolled down, and which would you dial in the drive?
@EarthQuakerDevices5 жыл бұрын
Depends what music you are playing and your personal preferences honestly Eddie. Dunes is a heavily modified version, while Plumes has the ability to retain your OG clarity, and unreal headroom. I personally use Dunes as the more overdriven one and Plumes as the gain rolled down one, adding just a bit of grit and dimension to a big clean sound. I enjoy Plumes first in the order with those two in the chain.

My 2013 Jeff Beck Strat into the Plumes and straight into my Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 was much more than I expected. I’ve become a purist as I’ve grown older. Guitar & Amp, Heart & Fingers with a tasteful tad of reverb moves me. This will fit right into my setup perfectly.

only one pedal in your chain and a clean amp? Palisades. A million other pedals into a dirty amp? How bout both. Palisades has heavily modified TS options, while Plumes is more of a stock screamer with a more usable tone control and much more output.

In 1st toggle position, the Plumes reminds me a lot of my Bad Monkey. I have both pedals. I found on the Plumes I don't use the 2nd and 3rd modes much, and since the 1st mode is so similar I mainly gig with the Monkey because I like the 2-way EQ and I like the security of a mixer output in case my amp or the venue's backline amp fails and I need to go through the house. However when I can't bring my pedalboard and need to throw one pedal in the guitar gig bag, I'll often take just the Plumes cuz it weighs one third of what the monkey weighs, maybe even less. Super light pedal and the 1st mode is what I need, ie a meaner TS sort of gain.
