You're so talented and well-organized! Unfortunately, my clients would laugh at me if I asked them to learn how to sign into a Notion account and type out all of their answers. In my experience, clients want no extra steps and just want to explain their ideas on a call. Do you have tips on how to convince clients to take the route with Notion?
@abiconnick2 ай бұрын
Thank you! The simple solution is to charge more, then you'll only attract serious cleints who don't mind taking 2 minutes to create a notion account. If someone agrees to work with you, they have to agree with your way of doing things.

Abi your design style is evolving like a fine wine and became your unique design flavour and from this video I can see your style is also approaching towards pretty minimalistic style too. Kindly clear my confusion is that this Clay House's Logo Mark has a Candle mark representing a stamp, but will it be legible in every scale ? I mean, does only the Abstract Logo Styles should primarily focus on Legibility even if it costs the Expression of the Brand. I may sound silly, but this Internet Trend's and Gurus have messed up with my perspectives.
@abiconnick2 ай бұрын
Hey, I appreciate the kind words on my design style! It's cool to see how a designer's style adapts over the years! Regarding your questions: all of my clients receive a full logosuite for this exact reason. This ensures that no matter the size, there is a logo variation available to maintain legibility. For Clay House Candles, the logo mark will still be legible at most sizes since it's quite a simple design. As long as the logo suite is adaptable and you have variations, you're all good.
@Adityakittoo2 ай бұрын
@@abiconnick welcome and thanks, kindly also share the logo marks in the video too because I got confused.

I'm going to be honest, it will be tough to do from a phone, but you can at least start on it. But I would look to try and get a laptop as soon as you can!
@zeronz872 ай бұрын
Off course you can! But it takes a little bit patiente and requires you to use different apps and websites in order to do what you'd usually do in specialized software. Or instead you can search for old versions of the programs you need so the laptop runs them with no lag, I think that's more practical

A lot of my clients DIY their first logo because they aren't ready to invest or aren't at the right stage in their business to get a full visual identity. I think it's really important for businesses to go through this stage because they then see the true value in brand design! She actually drew this herself using Procreate and it got her quite far in her business, but when she enquired she was ready for a change (which is great)!!
