Looks great but the edge of the sink may cause problems with water exposure, Wondering if trimming it out with something waterproof like flexible vinyl molding would help that.

My first thought was “carpet in the kitchen??” I’ve never heard of carpets in kitchens so that took me by surprise! I did not expect you would leave the old cupboards but I like the way you got down to the bones and refinished them from initial wood! Looked great! I liked that you kept the backsplash since it didn’t look bad, dirty, outdated or broken. I loved the counter and how it turned out and that you did it differently up the wall makes a hood visual change! And the table was quaint and cozy for morning breakfast over coffee!

Such a cute kitchen remodel! Two things that I use all the time and would love to find in my air bnb are a blender and an instant pot or similar pressure cooker

I agree - our last Airbnb did have a blender but the one thing I would have loved to have there was a crockpot! The house was a beach destination and everything was super expensive so we did cook a lot of our meals. If we stay in that house again we are going to order a crockpot to be shipped there to arrive when we do! It will be out gift to the hosts for the great place.

The stick counter top works brilliant, id be tempted to overlay it with clear perspex or cover it with a clear thick coating as it would be a shame for water to get in the cracks and ruin it all as it looks so nice. Appoxy i think the resin is called you can pour over surfaces, i dunno you probably already know what im going on about. Great job guys.

I think the kitchen is beautiful! I am so happy that you kept the backsplash tile work. I thought it was pretty. The paint color you matched to the tile was perfect and a beautiful shade of blue. All in all, you did a fantastic job, It is amazing!

I love how this kitchen turned out! It is the first kitchen I have really like with the cabinets painted two different colors….for some reason I don’t like that but this kitchen is the exception to that rule 😃. I think that tile is key in tying everything together. So glad you kept the tile and decided to reinstall the cabinet doors. You run the risk of a cluttered look with open shelving, I think. Great job! Now we have to find an excuse to get to Nebraska so we can see the Airbnb first hand…..

Have you considered placing a small, round table with a couple of chairs in the corner? This would mimic the ceiling and arch above the sink. You did suck an amazing job on the kitchen, I love it and especially that you saved the original cabinets. Gorgeous!

Oh, I am so glad you said this because it was the only thing that I felt wasn't perfect! When there is only beauty, a slight imperfection is more noticeable. I love ceiling medallions. I think this could easily be used here to cover the marks left by the previous fixture. They are printable too, so it could be coordinated in this wonderful color scheme or made to blend in. She asked for opinions. I think yours is valid as well as helpful. ❤

It looks much, much, better. 👍👍👍 good job. Great color choices on the cupboard (goes great with the tiles), baseboards and floor. I am surprised you didn't spray the paint on the cupboards. Concern: I hope you put at least 3 coats (I would spray it) of varathane on the counter...seriously. AND provide a LARGE size cutting board - right next to the knives - or they WILL use the counter top and you DON'T want that to happen.

Looks great. The only thing I'd change would be the coffee station that's at the entry to the kitchen. To me it's blocking an entryway especially if someone is standing there making coffee and someone else wants to get into the kitchen. I'd have it nearer the sink for easy access to water etc but hey, that's just me. I love the colours. It's so bright and airy now. Great job.
