"Dial the Gate" host David Read goes behind the scenes of designing Stargate with long-time Stargate art director and production designer Bridget McGuire. In her more than 10 years with the franchise she helped create such iconic pieces as the Puddle Jumper, the F-302 fighter interceptor, the Wraith Dart, and many more. In this clip she talks about the look and functionality of the Atlantis Puddle Jumpers (inside and out), extending ships with visual effects, and the practicalities of filming on set and on location. Bridget also reveals what household device inspired the Jumper's unique shape.
