Ya era hora de que alguien diera una solución verdaderamente cómoda a la impracticabilidad de las pistón bolts. El concepto es super smart, es genial que cada estación no tenga una intensidad de señal concreta asignada como es habitual en este tipo de networks, y que en su lugar se base en que la intensidad de señal determine cuantas estaciones quieres avanzar o retroceder, le da mucha flexibilidad. Me ha encantado la animación! Seguid así y mucho ánimo con esa versión en diagonal, ya quiero construirla en mi survival. 😁😁 Felicidades!

By overstacking cursed books, you can get a signal strenght of 29. You can use a lectern with a book with 30 pages, to select the right signal strenght, with comparator combined with a T-flipflop, activating every time a page is turned.

with stacked shulkerboxes you can make a 890 power signal, but you cant use redstone dust, so with this and a binary encoder you can make a really crazy things

Hey! i ahve a slight issue with how you present the comparing principle for bolts, when compared to the substracting one. If I understand correctly, the substracting one doesn't allow for a branch (what you call stations) to have sub-stations, all routed from the original hub. I.e. you hop on the cart, reach a junction and take it and, while traveling on the new bolt, take another junction. Props for making the return bolts also carry signals, I was too lazy to do that! Also, I'm firigion, hammer is just a server I play in :P

Nice! Have you considered having the signal strength on one side go down by one only if the other side is 0 (basically a 2-hexit decrementer)? This way you could travel up to 256 stations at once, but I imagine the redstone would be a lot less compact

I hope the link will be updated not too late, as it was a really good concept (the best in my opinion) and if it was updated, or expanded by collaborating with the likes of Ruthro you could really create the ultimate piston bolt system. I know there is a possibility that the channel is dead but I hope it will at least be updated so that we can also work on it in the future. @Blowing Minds

I have never designed a piston bolt, but isn't it possible to use an item filter to choose the station? So you just pick a piece of paper in a chest, rename it to the station name and put it in a hopper/chest minecart with you. I don't know if the filter can recognize the item fast enough

you could actually, but you'd have to send a chestcart ahead of the cart the player is in, and then you'd have to detect whether it's a cart with a player in it or a chest cart, and then put the chestcart aside, remove the first item from it, check the inventory, put the item back in, and then send the cart along if it's not the selected station. it should be technically possible, but I cant imagine a compact way to make it work. Using comparators to send a hexadecimal signal on one side of the bolt is probably the move, although you can also do some stuff with pulse length detection with bolts that arent using fullspeed transitions and stations. The fullspeed bit is actually a pretty serious challenge, as you really dont have a lot of time for things to happen between recieving the signal ahead of the player(and cart) and the cart showing up where the turn needs to be (or not be)

Idk how youtube search engine works today but adding #pistonbolt, #pistonboltnetwork, etc. would really be a great idea. Because for example, I want to search for a “dog”, but the title of the video is cat. Whenever, I search dog in the search bar, I will have a hard time finding “dog”. why don't you use both of the comparator signals on each side of the Piston bolt to move forward and backward you would have a max movement of 225 stations

Piston bolts aren't that complex once you know how they work so I just took his bolt and built it a few times to see if I could get it to work. Just takes a few different angles and the right timings
