How to Merge Design onto Quilting Backdrops Blocks in Embrilliance Software

QAYG is the answer to my wishful thinking! I've often wished for a design where you could create a basic foundation for a mini quilt by building your own blocks, (BYOB), but then be able to create and add other designs later. This it it!! This will be so much fun. Thank you for figuring this out.

Do you quilt the joining rectangles as separate pieces?

This is great but what if you don’t want the stitches of the appliqué or design to show on the back of the quilt? Have you tested it in the reverse order, design first, then add the backing to the bottom and then the quilting, assuming of course the stitches underneath have been removed? Would you have to add tie off stitches to the quilt stitches that come up to the embroidery design?

@@helenr9135 no it wasn’t designed for that purpose End to End may better suit that need These are designed for QAYG w/ false backing

What about the bubble quilt shown, the smashing has embroidery, is there a technique for that?

Each set within the Quilting Backdrops series consists of 38 sizes of In-the-Hoop QAYG files: square blocks, coordinating 2-inch sashing, and rectangles in 3, 4, and 6-inch widths. So the quilting you see in the sashing blocks is included in the original design file (like what you see in the square block when I first open it).
